Blue Whale TMT channel April 29 news, this evening, Douyin Security Center issued an announcement, in order to prevent and control in the hot events at home and abroad, individual users have impersonation of parties, malicious rumors, rubbing traffic and other bad behavior, the platform on April 29 fully opened in the personal homepage and other locations to display the function of account IP territory.
Douyin said that the account IP territorial display does not currently support manual opening or closing.
The announcement shows that the IP territory of the personal homepage is determined according to the ip territory corresponding to the user's most recent post or comment. If the user has never posted or commented on the Douyin platform, the IP territory information will not be displayed on the personal homepage.
Douyin said that IP territories are displayed to provinces (autonomous regions and cities) within the territory and to countries (regions) outside the country, and will not display the precise geographical location of users.
At present, the IP territory display only supports Douyin App version 20.5.0 and above, and users can upgrade through the app store.
