"The Taste of Time - Xing Shaochen's Exhibition of Chinese Paintings" opened in Beijing

On the afternoon of January 16th, "Knowing the Taste of Time - Xing Shaochen's Exhibition of Chinese Paintings" opened at the Dongyi Art Museum in Beijing. The exhibition, sponsored by today's Collection Art Museum, exhibits 50 works of flower and bird paintings by Mr. Xing Shaochen, a leading figure in contemporary freehand flower and bird painting, with three categories of landscapes, flowers and birds, and figures, all of which are recently created.

Zhan Yu, curator of this exhibition, introduced that the main purpose of this exhibition is to welcome the Winter Olympics, celebrate the New Year, and show the artistic charm of Chinese painting. Compared with the solo exhibition of Mr. Xing Shaochen, who "Big Ink Boundless" a few months ago, this exhibition is a small exhibition in terms of scale, showing not works with large lengths and large perspectives, but minimalist and delicate works.

Mr. Xing Shaochen is a leading figure in contemporary freehand flower and bird painting, and although he is famous for flowers and birds, he also has great achievements in landscapes and characters. He combined the development of Chinese freehand flower and bird painting in the current situation of the entire art world, put forward the view of "reconstructing the big picture"; advocated that artists should have social responsibility and a sense of mission to inherit and carry forward the essence of Chinese painting, and pay attention to people's mental state in flower and bird painting, and not ignore people.

In addition, Xing Shaochen also put forward the artistic proposition of using "sculptural" pen and ink language to express the spirit of freehand writing, practicing this viewpoint for decades, constantly practicing and exploring in creation, achieving fruitful research results, and creating a new style, leading contemporary freehand flower and bird painting.
