In the splendid culture of the Chinese nation that has been passed down for 5,000 years, the saying is a very special existence. It usually comes from the summary of the daily life of the majority of working people, is some summary of social experience, is a very peculiar folk wisdom, and is quite practical, summarizing all aspects of people's lives, from education, knowledge to etiquette and so on.

"The old man is a dragon, to whom is poor" is a typical saying about education, what does it mean? The previous sentence is actually very easy to understand, because "true dragon Tianzi", the dragon is synonymous with the ruler, that is to say, the parents have absolute authority in front of their children, and the second half of the sentence is relatively confusing, how to say that the more the parents are biased towards whom, whose family is poorer?
I believe that many young friends, when they see such a saying, will subconsciously feel that this is completely nonsense, but in fact, it is not so, if we really experience some things, we can find that although this saying is simple, it is indeed the true humanity.
In the Spring and Autumn Period, there was a woman named Wu Jiang, she married the king of Zheng Guo zheng wu gong in 761 BC, and gave birth to the eldest son Yu Sheng 4 years later, the so-called 寤生 is to say that the reverse birth, that is, the feet come out first before the head comes out, which is a very typical difficult birth, Wu Jiang thus suffered a lot of pain, of course, also suffered a great fright, she therefore very much hate the life.
This may be impossible for many friends to understand, is it not said that "mothers are not ugly"? How this child was born to be hated by his own mother, but in fact, there are many things in real life, which may be more bizarre than in the novel, making people decide to be incomprehensible, but it is real.
Of course, Yu Sheng is also very aggrieved, he did not do anything, he was hated by his own mother, but he could not express any opinion on this, once he expressed his opinion on this, he would bear the hat of "filial piety", but he was afraid that he could not break free for a lifetime, so Yu Sheng knew silence and forbearance from the beginning of his understanding.
After giving birth to The Birth, Wu Jiang gave birth to the younger son GongShu Duan in 754 BC, and when he gave birth to the Gong Shu Duan, it was very smooth, and there was no pain in the birth of the Half-Hearted Duan, this contrast was so obvious, so Wu Jiang was extremely partial to the Gong Shu Duan, and any good things were first given to the Gong Shu Duan and not to the Gong Shu Duan.
However, we know that the rules of the ancient patriarchal system are "li concubines do not stand up, and li chang does not stand xian", and both Yu Sheng and Gong Shu Duan are the concubines of Zheng Wugong, and Yu Sheng is still the eldest son, so he naturally became the prince.
Wu Jiang blew pillow wind with Zheng Wugong many times, and even cried twice and hanged himself three times, hoping to make Zheng Wugong depose the position of prince of Yusheng and establish Gong Uncle Duan as the prince instead.
From the perspective of Yu Sheng, he was very humble and sad, he was hated by his mother when he was born, not only did he not give himself any good looks, but he also wanted to take away all the things he had, let himself have nothing, and then give his things to his brother, which was a child who lacked love, fortunately, his father Zheng Wugong did not listen to Wu Jiang's Hu Lai, and has always retained his position as prince.
Duke Wu of Zheng died in 744 BC, and Yu Sheng succeeded him as the Duke of Zhengzhuang. Relying on his authority as a mother, Wu Jiang repeatedly asked Gong Shu Duan for something from Zheng Zhuang, and Zheng Zhuang Gong usually agreed, and even gave Gong Shu Duan a large fief in spite of the persuasion of his courtiers.
Gongshu Duan was not satisfied, and slowly expanded his fiefdom to test the bottom line of Zheng Zhuanggong, and Zheng Zhuanggong did not react much, so his boldness grew bigger and bigger, and later even occupied half of Zheng Guo's country, but he was not satisfied, and began to buy ordnance to prepare for rebellion, and Wu Jiang, as a mother, was also happy to see his success, saying that he would be in the capital as his internal response, open the city gate for him, and seize the throne of Zheng Zhuang.
However, the news of the rebellion of Gongshu Duan was leaked out in advance and easily defused by Zheng Zhuanggong, who fled abroad alone and eventually died in other places, while Wu Jiang continued to stay in Zheng Guo, and Zheng Zhuanggong still respected him as his mother.
In the Spring and Autumn Period, this story is called "Zheng Boke Duan Yu Yan", mainly referring to zheng Zhuanggong, that is, The Hidden Patience and Restraint of Huan Sheng, deliberately indulging Gong Shu Duan, and finally defeating it in one fell swoop. From the perspective of future generations, the root cause of the brotherly dispute between Zheng Zhuanggong and Gongshu Duan is obviously from their mother Wu Jiang, and this story explains the saying "parents are dragons, to whom the family is poor".
As Wu Jiang's mother, she had absolute authority in front of him as if she were a true dragon heavenly son, and even though he had become the monarch, he still had to listen to her and give a large area of fiefdom to Gong Shu Duan.
At the same time, Wu Jiang was extremely partial to his younger son Gongshu Duan, which led to Gongshu Duan developing an arrogant and unsatisfied personality, believing that everything should be his own, even if he was not satisfied with half of the country, he must also snatch the position of the monarch, and Wu Jiang also said that he would cooperate, and the final outcome was very tragic.
As an ordinary person, of course, we can't contact this kind of thing like "prince contending for the throne, brothers vying for the country", but the child who is favored by his parents, always takes all the benefits by him, and does not want him to do anything, which is equivalent to the common uncle Duan raised by Wu Jiang.
Do not know how to be grateful, have no responsibility and responsibility, think that everyone is righteous to him, without his parents can not do anything, and finally can only fall to the point of poverty.
Such examples believe that everyone should have seen a lot in life, especially in the kind of patriarchal family, parents prefer the youngest brother, all the work is for the sister to do, all the enjoyment is to let the younger brother come first, and the result is that the most unsuccessful of the big children is the most favored brother.
