Uncle Yingkao, a native of Nanying Village, Tongqiu City (present-day Fugou County) during the Spring and Autumn Warring States period, served as Zheng Guo's doctor. He is an upright man, filial piety to parents, blind brothers, and has the reputation of "the first filial piety in all eternity".

One year, Zheng Zhuanggong, the ruler of the State of Zheng, abandoned his own mother, expelled her to a place far away from the capital, and swore: "If you want to meet, unless you have Huangquan." Zheng Zhuanggong made such a decision for a reason. His mother Jiang Clan liked the little uncle Duan, because of his good looks and strong martial arts, he wanted him to succeed him as the king of the State of Zheng, and the Duke of Zhuang was the eldest, the order could not be changed, in order to achieve the goal, his mother and Gong Uncle Duan secretly gathered troops to attack the capital, but the plot was exposed, Gong Uncle Duan defeated Yan (yān) Mausoleum, and Jiang was abandoned by Duke Zhuang.

After Uncle Yingkao learned of this, he sighed: "Although a mother is not like a mother, a son cannot be like a son!" As a monarch of a country, it is too immoral to treat the birth mother in this way. So Uncle Yingkao brought a few birds to see Duke Zhuang in the name of offering wild meat. Uncle Kao said to Zhuang Gong: "This is chīxiāo (鸱鸮鸮 xiāo), when he was young, he was fed by his mother, but when he grew up, he pecked at the mother bird, and I hated him for filial piety, so I caught it and asked the lord to taste it." "Zhuang Gong already understands that I should not have forced my brother to kill and abandon my mother, I am guilty!" At this time, the servant sent a steamed sheep, and Zhuang Gong ordered the man to cut off a leg of lamb and give it to Uncle Kao to taste, but Uncle Kao did not eat it, but just tore off a piece of it and wrapped it in his arms. Zhuang Gong asked, "Why not?" Uncle Kao said: "The lord does not know, my family is poor, the old mother relies on me to fight birds to raise, never tasted such a fat lamb, the lord rewarded me, I can not enjoy alone, take it back to worship the old mother." Zhuang Gong sighed after hearing this, "Sir is really Filial Piety!" I am ashamed to be the king of a country, and my filial piety is not as good as yours. Uncle Kao pretended not to know and asked where the sigh came from. Zhuang Gong said these things from beginning to end. When Zhuang Gong said that he had sworn to heaven not to meet his mother until he went to the underground Yellow Spring, Uncle Kao said that he had a way to let him not violate the oath and meet mother and son. Zhuang Gong bent down to ask for advice. Uncle Kao said, "How difficult is this, isn't it that I dug a big hole in the ground?" A few days later, Uncle Kao found some people to dig a deep hole in the north of the county, huangquan looked like a yellow spring, and let his mother and son meet. Mother and son saw each other and hugged their heads and cried. Subsequently, Duke Zhuang took his mother into the palace and nurtured him for eternity.

Wisdom whisper: Uncle Yingkao is a true filial piety, he not only filial piety to his mother, but also promote this filial piety to Zheng Zhuanggong, so that he does not remember the old grudges and regains his kindness. The Book of Poetry says, "Filial piety constantly promotes filial piety and will always be able to impress your kind." "Probably it is said to the pure filial piety of Uncle Yingkao."
