In order to achieve a breakthrough from Gaoyou, Chiang Kai-shek immediately sent someone to inform the remnants of Japan entrenched in the ancient city of Gaoyou, saying that they should not surrender to the New Fourth Army, but should surrender to the Kuomintang.
These Japanese devils in the city originally did not want to surrender, and when they heard that someone had jointly supported them, they were even more fearless, so this led to the behavior of the Japanese army in Gaoyou City, Jiangsu Province, resolutely not surrendering and being loyal to the Japanese emperor.
