Dorgon's older brother Azig was killed by Shunzhi, and a great man was born in his descendants

"Fu Lin practiced the Foundation of the Central Plains and conquered China with the age of Chong Ling, so that those who could become great causes were praised by the crowd of ministers. At that time, the clan was a relative, a strong man, a storm, and a diligent worker: such as Duo Duo the Prince of Yu, Hauge the Prince of Su, Azig the Prince of England, Zilharang the Prince of Zheng, Nikan the Prince of Jingjing, Boluo the Prince of Duanzhong, and Leke Dehun the King of Shuncheng County, etc., whose special achievements were indeed great figures in the founding of the country. ”

In the founding war of the Qing Dynasty, the three brothers of Dolgun all made great achievements, although the British king Azig was not as good as his younger brother Duoduo, but he also made extensive military achievements and made indelible contributions, if it were not for Dorgon's attempt to seize power after his death, he was killed by Shunzhi, and the eight iron hat kings of the early Qing Dynasty should have his place.

1. Lost his mother at an early age

Azig was the twelfth son of Nurhaci of the Qing Dynasty, born on July 15, 1605, in the thirty-third year of the Wanli Calendar, to the mother of Nurhaci's last concubine, Abahai.

Azig means "small" in Manchu, but the son of the Khan King was born "long and large", which does not match the name, because his mother Abahai was a concubine, so Azig enjoyed the status of a concubine from birth, compared with the brothers in the rankings, with a unique advantage.

However, when Azig was fifteen years old, his mother, Abbahai, exposed a scandal.

Nurhaci's concubine Deinze denounced the grand concubine Abbahai and the Great Belledesan for having an affair, and after the investigation was true, in view of the fact that the family ugliness could not be publicized, Nurhaci abandoned Abhay on the charge of secretly hiding gold veils, leaving Abhay to live alone with his three sons.

In fact, Nurhaci was very fond of Abahai's mother and son in his later years, not only restored the title of Abahai's concubine a year later, but also left the two yellow flags in his hand to the three Azig brothers, for example, Nurhaci handed over the positive yellow flag to Azig, and gave part of the yellow flag to Dodo, and at the same time, he also transferred the white flag lord Dudu to the red flag and gave the vacated white flag lord to Dorgon. Judging from Nurhaci's series of arrangements for the aftermath, Nurhaci's desire to pass the Khanship to Dorgon or Dordor is not an empty phrase.

However, in the same year that Azig was 21 years old, his father Nurhaci died, and his mother Abhay was also martyred under the persecution of many princes, Beyler, and subsequently, the Four Baylor Emperor Taiji was elected as the new Great Khan, for Tiancong Khan.

Although he did not have a mother, Azig had already made a name for himself on the battlefield before the death of his father Nurhaci, and had made meritorious achievements in the war against the Chahar Andi and Bahraini tribes, and was given the title of Baylor.

Note: In the later period of the Mandate of Heaven, the Four Belle Emperor Taiji Fujin (Yuan Concubine) Niu Hulu clan was reprimanded by Nurhaci for passing through the gate of Azig's palace by a sedan car, and was immediately abandoned by the Emperor Taiji.

2. Outstanding achievements

After Emperor Taiji succeeded to the throne, Azig's talent in military affairs was fully demonstrated, and he participated in many wars against Korea, Daming and Chahar, and in the third year of Tiancong, Azig led an army to invade Guannei, beheaded Zhao Lijiao, the chief soldier of Shanhaiguan, and approached Beijing, forcing Yuan Chonghuan, the governor of Jiliao, and Zu Dashou, the general of Liaodong, to lead troops to rescue.

In April of the first year of Chongde, Emperor Taiji proclaimed himself emperor in Shengjing and established the Great Qing Dynasty, and Azig was made the king of Dora Wuying County for his merits. In the same year, Azig and Bel Abatai rebelled against the Ming Dynasty, once again invaded Guannei, successively conquered Changping, Dingxing, Ansu and other counties, won 56 battles, and captured the Ming general Cao Pichang, capturing a total of more than 179,800 people and livestock. When he returned to Shengjing, Huang Taiji personally came to the outside of the dizai gate to greet him, and when he saw that Azig was very hard, he was sad and wept, and personally poured wine to comfort him.

In October of the first year of Shunzhi, Azig accompanied Dolgun to defeat Li Zicheng's peasant army at Shanhaiguan, and successfully entered Guannei, and then settled in Beijing, and after Shunzhi moved the capital to Beijing, he ordered Azig to be promoted to the title of Prince of Heshuoying, with the preamble of "Eight Kings".

Subsequently, Azig was appointed as the general of Jingyuan, leading troops from Shanxi into Shaanxi to pursue Li Zicheng's peasant army, and in the second year of Shunzhi, Azig chased Li Zicheng to the Huguang region and beheaded li Zicheng's two uncles and Li Zicheng's general Liu Zongmin, and Li Zicheng fled to Jiugong Mountain with only twenty infantrymen.

However, Azig did not heed the order to advance the class, and falsely claimed that Li Zicheng had died, was punished, demoted to the rank of prince, and was soon restored to the title of prince.

From the fifth year of Shunzhi to the sixth year of Shunzhi, Azig quelled the rebellion of Jiang Ji in Shanxi as a general of Pingxi.

However, Azig, who was invincible on the battlefield, began to take pride in his achievements, showing his idiotic talent in politics, and even wanted to call himself an uncle, and he wrote to Dorgon: "The son of Prince Yu of Fuzheng is small and not excellent. Prince Zheng was the son of his uncle and was not properly called Uncle Wang. When thought to have been an uncle. Dorgon reprimanded his brother's unreasonable demands, but did not punish them, laying the foundation for Azig's later disgrace.

3. Death by slashing

In the winter of the seventh year of Shunzhi (1650), Dorgon went to the border to hunt, fell seriously ill, and before dying, called his brother Azig to his side and confessed his affairs. Who knows, after Dorgon's death, Azig wanted to use the opportunity of handling the funeral of the regent to launch a mutiny and make himself the regent.

During this time, the university scholar Ganglin, who was hunting with Dorgon, sensed Azig's intentions and returned to the Kyoshi day and night to report the incident. In the face of Azig's plan, the Shunzhi Emperor ordered the closure of the nine gates of the capital and stationed heavy troops outside the Desheng Gate, the only way for Azig to return to Beijing.

Soon, the Shunzhi Emperor greeted the regent Dolgun with a coffin outside the Desheng Gate, and unexpectedly, the father and son of Azig saw the emperor sitting on the head, and Zilharang saw that Azig was carrying a sabre and held a ruse, so he ordered the killing of his three hundred horsemen, thus crushing the mutiny.

On December 26, 1977, the Council of Ministers of the Council of Ministers recommended that Azig be imprisoned and his son Prince Lao removed from his title and demoted to Beizi. However, Azig, who was still in prison, was unrepentant, and went so far as to hide a large knife in prison, dig a tunnel, and claim to burn the cell.

In October of the eighth year of Shunzhi, the Shunzhi Emperor ordered that Azig's father and son be put to death, causing them to commit suicide, and stripping them of their clan membership, and a generation of British kings fell.

After Qianlong succeeded to the throne, many of the royal relatives in the early years of the Qing Dynasty were rehabilitated and restored their titles, but for Azig, he only rebuilt the garden and did not restore his title, and in this way, Azig could not return to the ranks of the kings of the early Qing Dynasty for a hundred years, otherwise, this is also a king with an iron hat.

Note: It is impossible to verify how many daughters Azig had, but after Azig was given death, his fifth daughter (WuGege) married Naran Mingzhu and gave birth to three sons, the eldest of whom was the famous Qing Dynasty first poet Naran Zhide, that is, Naran Zhide was actually Azig's grandson.

Zichen said:

"The British prince Azig, with impure intentions, chased after the thief, lied about his death, and went to soma along the border, and asked the inspector to do official business. Although there were also minor merits in the past, it was not enough to compensate for his crime, and the deposed lord was actually self-inflicted. ”

Of the three Dorgon brothers, Azig was not inferior in military achievements at all, but he was too far behind in politics, and it was most appropriate to say that his limbs were well developed and his mind was simple. In fact, if Azig had been able to keep his duty, his descendants would have been able to enjoy the glory of a proper iron hat family, but some people have caused tragedies because of restlessness, and we should learn from Azig.S.
