Therefore, Dorgon directly ignored Azig's opposition and resolutely ordered the capital to be moved to Beijing, so the young Shunzhi officially entered Beijing under the support of Dorgon, opening the Qing Dynasty to unify the country.
After that, Dorgon also found that his brother Azig was a reckless man at all, not the material for governing the country, so although Dorgon later promoted Azig to the prince of England with military merit, in fact he did not take his brother Azig seriously, because he knew that Azig's brain was not smart, charging into the battlefield can be, and he may be bad when he really decides on major events, so every time he encounters military and political events, Dorgon is discussed and decided with his younger brother Duoduo, the Prince of Yu, and therefore during the regency of Dorgon, Dorgon became the actual second person in the Qing Dynasty.

Later, Azig's men searched for beautiful women for him and snatched the daughter-in-law of one of Jiang Ou's relatives, so Jiang Ou personally went to find Azig's VIPs, and as a result, Azig not only did not give Jiang Ou face, but instead beat him up and drove him out.
Therefore, Jiang Ou couldn't bear to decide to oppose the Qing, and in the fifth year of Shunzhi (1648), Duo Duo died of illness, and Dolgun was sad about it, and Jiang Ou thought that this was a good opportunity, so he secretly contacted his subordinates to prepare for the anti-Qing.
At this time, Azig not only did not guard against Jiang Ou, but also wrote to Dolgun in the capital, he proposed to Dorgon to take over Dolgun's position, and wanted to assist Dolgun in the joint government, Azig emphasized in the letter that Dordor died, his son was young and ignorant, Prince Zheng Zilharang was not a descendant of Nurhaci, he was the brother of Dolgun and Dordor, he was Shunzhi's uncle, and he should jointly assist the government with Dolgun and discuss military affairs.
Dorgon almost did not die of anger after receiving Azig's letter, and instead of grieving over the death of his brother Dodo, Dorgon was still thinking about how to replace Dodo's position, and with Azig's lacking brain, he also tried to replace Dodo and Zilharang.
Although Prince Zilharang of Zheng was not Nurhaci's biological son, he was sleek and politically savvy, and as far as Azig's IQ could replace him, Dorgon would replace Dorg and Zilharang unless he drank fake wine and spoiled his brain, so Dorgon scolded Azig mercilessly.
It was also after this incident that Jiang Ou suddenly attacked the Qing Dynasty and led his army to attack the Palace of the British Prince of Datong, and the unprepared Azig was almost killed by Jiang Ou, and Azig fled over the wall with his personal bravery and escort.
After Azig escaped, Jiang Ou took control of Datong, and emperor Yongli of the Southern Ming Dynasty was made orthodox, calling himself the Great General of Xinghan and raising Datong soldiers and horses to rebel against the Qing dynasty and restore the Ming Dynasty. Due to Azig's brutal rule in Shanxi, the eleven prefectures near Datong all responded to Jiang Ou's rebellion against the Qing Dynasty under the leadership of officials who surrendered in the former Ming Dynasty, and history called "Jiang Ou Datong Anyway".

However, Jiang Ou was iron-hearted and rejected Dorgon's surrender, and Dorgon had to order Azig to lead the Eight Banners elite to fight the rebellion. At first, Jiang Ou also defeated the Qing army many times, and Dolgun saw that Azig led the army to quell the rebellion without results, and began to be anxious, he disregarded his illness and mobilized all the Eight Banners garrison troops in North China to personally go to Shanxi to suppress the rebellion.
In the end, under the siege of Dorgon's heavy troops, Jiang Ou's rebellion against the Qing was calmed down, and after Azig conquered Datong and killed Jiang Ou, he was very angry, so he ordered the massacre of all the soldiers and civilians in Datong, known in history as the "Massacre of Datong".
Originally, Jiang Ou's rebellion was completely avoidable, because Azig was cruel and excessively bullied Han Chen, so Dorgon was quite disappointed in Azig, and Azig himself had a very bad reputation in the political arena in the early Qing Dynasty.
After Dorgon's death, Azig went farther and farther down the path of death

However, after Dorgon's death, Azig was not dead-hearted, and in the seventh year of Shunzhi (1650), Dorgon died, and Azig wanted to force Shunzhi to crown himself as the uncle of the regent, so Azigle ordered everyone not to publish the news of Dorgon's death, and let his son Laoqin go to mobilize troops, and when Laoqin was fully prepared, he would announce the death of Dorgon, at which time Azig and Lao's father and son would take advantage of the opportunity to control the capital and Shunzhi by force in the name of escorting Dorgon's coffin back to Beijing.
On the one hand, Azig sent his son Laoqin to mobilize troops, and on the other hand, he coerced the ministers of the two white flags to obey him, and the ministers of the two white flags were loyal to Dorgon, because Dorgon had made it clear before his death that Azig was not suitable to succeed him, let alone participate in the politics of the dynasty, so the two white flag ministers did not obey Azig.
As a result, Azig saw that the ministers of the two white flags refused to obey him, and once again showed his touching side of intelligence, he hoped to solve everything by force, so Azig led his troops to besiege the two white flag ministers, hoping to force them to obey by force.
Therefore, the ministers of the two white flags were forced by Azig to decide that they should "live according to the emperor", so they followed the university scholar Ganglin who was hunting with Dolgun to ride a fast horse for more than 700 miles to the capital, and reported to Empress Xiaozhuang and Shunzhi and The Prince of Zheng Zilharang about the preparation of Azig and his son Laoqin to control the capital by force.
XiaoZhuang immediately ordered the closure of the nine gates of the capital, and placed heavy troops outside the Desheng Gate, the only way for Azig to return to Beijing, to take precautions. At the same time, Shunzhi also thought of a way to deal with Azig, although Shunzhi was only 13 years old at the time, he was a rather talented emperor since childhood, although under the intimidation of Dorgon, Shunzhi could only be willing to be a puppet, but he was still rich against the simple-minded Azig.
When Shunzhi took his relatives to escort the Coffin of Dorgon back to Beijing with his relatives, he personally greeted him, pretended to cry bitterly about the death of Dorgon, and greatly congratulated the father and son of Azig for escorting the Coffin of Dorgon.
The young Shunji easily smashed Azig's mutiny plan in one fell swoop, avoiding an impending upheaval. At first, shunzhi, in order to appease Dorgon's henchmen, called Azig an uncle, but only imprisoned him.
However, as Shunzhi later launched a political reckoning with Dorgon, both Dorgon and Dorgon were posthumously honored and knighted by Shunzhi, and Shunzhi also saw that Azig was becoming more and more unhappy.
Azig heard in captivity that Shunzhi had launched a political reckoning with his two younger brothers, so he hated Shunzhi even more, and Azig repeatedly threatened to kill Shunzhi if he could go out, and he also secretly hid a large knife and dug tunnels to try to escape.
Therefore, Shunzhi put Azig's rebellious remarks on the council of ministers and ministers, and handed the matter to the ministers of the council to decide, in fact, everyone knew in their hearts that Shunzhi wanted to kill Azig, so the council of ministers of the council of ministers followed Shunzhi's meaning and suggested that Azig and his sons be killed.
Therefore, Shunzhi naturally approved the decision of the Council of Ministers, and gave Azig and his son Lao to personally perform, and in the eighth year of Shunzhi (1651), Azig committed suicide with his third son Lao, and Azig died at the age of 47. Shunzhi killed Azig and stripped him of his ancestral status as a descendant.

Qianlong did not rehabilitate Azig, because he committed a usurpation act in the end, he vainly tried to gather soldiers and horses to control the capital and force Shunzhi, which was a great rebellion at any time, so Qianlong called Azig "the Prince of England Azig was impure in his heart, chased after thieves, lied about his death, and went to soma along the border, and asked the inspector to do official business. Although there were also minor merits in the past, it was not enough to compensate for his crime, and the deposed lord was actually self-inflicted. ”
Qianlong meant that Azig had a rebellious heart, and even though he had military merits, it was not enough to offset his sins, and he was imprisoned and given to death by Shunzhi, purely for his own sake.
In fact, as Qianlong said, Azig was dying in this life, from the perspective of his life, he not only had a low IQ, his emotional intelligence was not high, his political IQ was even lower, he knew that he had made great achievements in opening up the country for the Qing Dynasty, and he himself was not the material for being the regent, but he wanted to become the regent after the death of his brother Dolgun, Shunzhi had already experienced a Dolgun, how could he become Azig's puppet again, so Shunzhi would definitely want to put him down.
