According to the new car retail statistics of the Association, only one model of The Geely Emgrand of Chinese brands has entered the top ten of the car sales list. With the blessing of the 4th generation Emgrand, the total annual sales of Emgrand cars exceeded 200,000 vehicles, winning the sales champion of Chinese brand A-class family cars for 10 consecutive years.
The 4th generation of Emgrand, derived from the BMA architecture, has the largest aspect ratio of the same level, the widest rear seating space of the same class, the best storage space in the same class, the leading power control of the same level, and 57 cross-level and leading configurations, making it competitive in the same class and becoming the "king of the quality-price ratio" in the 60,000-80,000 class A-class cars.
Among the entry-level sedans, the 4th generation Emgrand is the most recommended model. Since its launch, the Emgrand family has sold more than 3.35 million vehicles.
Overall, Nissan Xuanyi ranked first in the list of cars with 513207 vehicles throughout the year, winning the sales championship. Volkswagen Langyi and Wuling Hongguang MINI EV ranked second and third respectively. Toyota Corolla, Buick Yinglang, Volkswagen Bora, Volkswagen Sagittarius and Toyota Raeling are close behind.
The Toyota Camry is the only B-class sedan to enter the top ten of the list, with cumulative sales of 217,724 units in the year, an increase of 17.5% year-on-year, ranking 9th in the industry, and it is also the annual B-class sales champion model. Along with this, the Honda Accord ranked 11th with sales of 197,742 units.
In the top ten models, Toyota sedans have both fuel versions and hybrids. Nissan Xuanyi also officially launched the e-POER model at the end of last year. Japanese cars showed an active defensive posture in the entry-level sedan market.
Since last year, the new generation of hybrid technology of its own brand led by BYD DM-i has achieved remarkable results in the A-class car market in order to subvert the positive attitude of the same level of fuel vehicles. BYD Qin ranked 12th with a total retail sales of 188,921 vehicles last year, and became the most dazzling model of the year with a year-on-year growth rate of 226.8%.
As the only electric vehicle to enter the top ten of the list, Wuling Hongguang MINI EV is controversial. Serious safety configurations, lack of energy recovery systems, and "hard injuries" such as the use of non-automotive grade semiconductors cannot be avoided. It can only be said that the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV is a miracle.
From the perspective of subdivision types, the top ten models are A-class cars except for the A0-class Hongguang MINI EV and the B-class Camry. The rapid upward momentum of BYD Qin is likely to enter the top ten at any time, and the ranking of A-class cars with traditional fuel vehicles as the main one will have major changes in 2022.
