At 10:00 a.m. on January 13, the Yu'an Branch of the Public Security Bureau of Lu'an City, Anhui Province, issued a police briefing. The notice said that on the afternoon of December 12, 2021, the bureau's Chengnan police station received a report that a 15-year-old girl in the jurisdiction, Lei Moumou, ran away from home and was missing.
After receiving the alarm, the Yu'an sub-bureau organized the police force to act quickly, and after many days of searching, with the help of a volunteer team, the girl's body was found on the afternoon of January 12, 2022 on the surface of the Phoenix River section in Chengnan Town.
After preliminary inspection, the missing girl of the corpse system, Lei Moumou, has preliminarily excluded the criminal case according to the on-site investigation and forensic examination.
Previously, according to media reports, Lei Moumou's family had issued a search notice. As mentioned in the search notice, Lei Moumou, who is 160 centimeters tall, went missing at about 4:30 p.m. on December 12, 2021 after coming out of the Player Academy Community in Chengnan Town, Yu'an District, Lu'an City. He was wearing an off-white sweatshirt, dark blue pants, white sneakers, and no glasses.
