In 2021, Google updated the Pixel series of mobile phones as usual, as the first Pixel 6 with a self-developed chip, Google upgraded the charging system, pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro both support 30W wired fast charging. But good things are not double, Google also learned from friends to not give mobile phones a standard charger, and launched a 30W charger for users to buy.
The charging head network has recently got Google's 30W charger, the classic white shell straight board modeling design, only support PD, PPS fast charging protocol, and Apple's fast charging is similar, there is no excess private fast charging protocol. The charger is priced at 25 US dollars, which is converted into nearly 160 yuan, and we will disassemble this product in detail below to see how the materials used in large brand products work.
First, the appearance of Google 30W charger
The front of the box is printed with the Google logo, charger name and exterior image.
A description of the charger is printed on the back.
Charger and instruction manual are included in the package.
The charger adopts a classic straight plate shape design, the shell is black and white color matching, and the surface is matte.
The front center of the fuselage is designed with the Google "G" logo.
The charger is equipped with fixed US-gauge feet.
Charger parameters are printed on the input housing

The charger is already PSE and UL certified, as well as Class VI energy efficiency certification.
The top USB-C port is centered, and the black rubber core does not expose copper.
The measured charger body height was 51.96mm.
The width is 42.79mm.
The thickness is 26.46mm.
Compared with the Apple 30W charger, the volume is smaller, but the charger itself uses a fixed pin.
Intuitive feeling in the hand.
The net weight of the charger is about 80g.
The USB-C port was measured using the Chargelab POWER-Z KT002 to support PD3.0 and PPS fast charging protocols.
In addition, it also has four fixed voltage positions of 5V3A, 9V3A, 15V2A and 20V1.5A, and three sets of PPS voltages of 3.3-11V3A, 3.3-16V2A, and 3.3-21V1.5A.
Second, Google 30W charger disassembly
The shell is disassembled, and the input end is contacted by the power-on design, but the copper shrapnel is directly used to improve the conductivity, which is not ordinary.
Remove the PCBA module.
The measured module length was 47.15mm.
The width is 37.58mm.
The thickness is 21.16mm.
The module wraps the insulated isolation plate and the metal heat sink plate.
The gap between the components on the board is filled with white glue reinforcement, and there is a white isolation plate between the transformer and the mother seat.
The back of the motherboard is also covered with a lot of white glue.
Clean up the white glue to facilitate the understanding of the device.
On the back of the motherboard, the isolation board is placed in the primary stage, and there are switching power supply primary controllers, high-voltage MOS tubes, etc.
It was observed that the charger was designed with a QR switching power supply architecture, and the protocol chip controlled the output voltage through optocouplers. Let's start with the inputs to learn more about each device.
The side is equipped with delay fuses, common mode inductors, safety X capacitors, Y capacitors and other devices.
The delay fuse specification is 3.15A 250V.

Charging head net disassembly summary
Google 30W charger initial impression is very classic, but in fact, the input end of the shell is a black color, so it is still quite recognizable, the classic with a little novelty. The charger is only tested to support PD3.0 and PPS fast charge protocols, with 5V3A, 9V3A, 15V2A, 20V1.5A fixed voltage gear, as well as 3.3-11V3A, 3.3-16V2A, 3.3-21V1.5A three sets of PPS voltage gear, so the compatibility for devices that support PD and PPS fast charging is very good.
Charging head network through disassembly found that the charger input contact power-on design, the use of copper shrapnel to improve conductivity, or very exquisite, the module glue and wrapped heat sink for reinforcement and heat dissipation. The charger adopts Tongjia LD5763M1 master control with CHINA RESOURCES micro-high voltage MOS, and MPS MP6908 with AOS synchronous rectifier tube to form QR switching power supply, and weiyi WT6633P protocol chip controls the output voltage. Huicheng and Wanyu ULR series capacitors perform input and output filtering. Overall, the overall material workmanship of the charger is still good.
