Zheng Zuomin, who was the deputy commander of the Kuomintang Army's Second Army and the commander of the Ninth Division, participated in the Battle of Songhu, the Xuzhou Breakthrough, the Defense of Tianjiazhen, and the Battle of Kunlun Pass.
