Sun Liren was a very cultured and literate soldier. Born in Anhui in 1900, he graduated from Tsinghua University and virginia military academy. Just by looking at the schools he attended, you know that this person is certainly not ordinary. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, countless Japanese troops were annihilated, so it was known as the "Fox of the Jungle" and "Rommel of the East".
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Sun Liren participated in the expeditionary army and went to Burma to fight against Japan. He became famous for opening the China-Burma Highway, rescuing the British army, and fighting alongside the American army. In the Battle of Ren'anqiang, Sun Liren defeated the Japanese army several times larger than himself with 800 troops and rescued 7,000 captured British troops. Later, Chiang Kai-shek awarded him the Order of the Clouds of the Fourth Class, Roosevelt awarded him the Order of parliament, and King George VI awarded him the title of commander of the Order of the British Empire.
However, this famous anti-Japanese general was identified by Chiang Kai-shek as a traitor and put under house arrest in 1955, and with the outbreak of Sun's case, all the deeds of Sun Liren were deleted by the history of the Kuomintang government. Sun Liren was placed under house arrest by Chiang Kai-shek for 33 years.
It is worth mentioning that although Sun Liren was imprisoned by Chiang Kai-shek for many years, his descendants are quite outstanding figures, and in Sun Liren's lifetime, there were four children, two daughters and two sons are doctors, and each person's degree is higher than his father!
