Song Lizong's skull was made into a wine vessel, and Zhu Yuanzhang was very impressed when he learned of this

Emperor Lizong of Song was the fifth emperor of the Southern Song Dynasty, and his ancestor was Zhao Dezhao, the son of Zhao Kuangyin, the grandfather of the Song Dynasty. Since Zhao Dezhao did not inherit the throne, his descendants were no different from the commoners after they reached the middle of the Southern Song Dynasty, and Song Lizong was the tenth grandson of Zhao Dezhao.

Song Lizong's original name was Zhao youju, and when he was 6 years old, his father Zhao Xiju died, and his mother Quan shi took him and his brother back to Shaoxing as a baochang's uncle's family and grew up in Shaoxing. Later, Zhao and Ju changed their names to Zhao Guicheng, and after ascending the throne, they changed their names to Zhao Yun, and his lineage was like Liu Bei in the Three Kingdoms period, he was a very distant royal family, but he was much luckier than Liu Bei. Liu Bei fought for more than half his life to become emperor, but Zhao Yun was hit by a pie that fell from the sky.

Zhao Yun

Emperor Zhao Kuo of Song Ningzong gave birth to eight sons in a row, none of whom could grow up. Therefore, in his later years, he had no heir to inherit the throne, so he had to send the prime minister Shi Miyuan to the people to inquire about the surviving royal bloodline. Shi Miyuan sent his staff member Yu Tianxi to inquire about many parties in the Shaoxing area. One day, it rained heavily, Yu Tianxi just happened to pass by Quan Baochang's house, and Yu Tianxi entered the house to avoid the rain. Later, Yu Tianxi chatted with the family, and learned the identity of Zhao and Ju, really stepping on the iron shoes and finding nowhere, it took no effort at all. At the moment, Yu Tianxi happily took the Zhao and Ju brothers back to make an errand.

In fact, Emperor Ningzong of Song did not intend to pass the throne to Zhao Yun, and it turned out that Emperor Ningzong had found Zhao Wan, the ninth grandson of Zhao Defang, the fourth son of Taizu Zhao Kuangyin, and made Zhao Hu crown prince. However, after Emperor Ningzong's death, the chancellor Shi Miyuan consulted with Empress Yang at the time and wrote a false edict deposing Zhao Yun and establishing Zhao Yun for Emperor Lizong of Song.

Song Lizong had not received an orthodox royal education since he was a child, so this emperor was very incompetent, and at the beginning of the reign, the government was handed over to the power minister Shi Miyuan to deal with, but he indulged in fun, until after Shi Miyuan's death, Song Lizong personally managed the government.

In the fifth year of Shaoding (1232), the Mongols wanted to completely destroy the Jin State, and planned to find the Southern Song Dynasty to help them encircle the Jin State. At this time, the Jin State also sent emissaries to persuade the Southern Song Dynasty to resist the Mongols together. At the moment of life and death, Song Lizong made a wrong decision, he only remembered that the Jin Dynasty had humiliated and hated the Song Dynasty's imperial family, but did not understand the reason for the cold lips and teeth.

After the fall of the Jin Dynasty, Song Lizong took the opportunity to recover the lost land occupied by the Jin State, but he did not expect to give the Mongols the pretext of attacking the Southern Song Dynasty. The Mongol soldiers rolled in, song Lizong was powerless to resist, and the chancellor Jia Xiangdao, who sent out to oversee the army, would only cut the land and beg for peace. Fortunately, the Mongol royal infighting, Kublai Khan withdrew his troops and returned to seize power, so that the Southern Song Dynasty could get a breather.

Song Lizong was finally relieved, but he did not try to figure out how to deal with the future Mongol invasion, but hollowed out his heart and indulged. At that time, the three thousand beautiful ladies in the palace could not satisfy his pleasures, so Song Lizong often went to the Qinglou brothel to search for Qi And Hunt Yan, and every three to five years he brought some popular Qinglou women to the palace.

Song Lizong was a very extravagant emperor, and after his death, he buried many rare treasures in the tomb and immersed the corpse in mercury in order to keep it incorruptible for a thousand years.

Yang Lian Zhenjia

After the fall of the Southern Song Dynasty, the Yuan Dynasty unified the Central Plains, and because the Yuan government adopted a barbaric ethnic policy to brutally exploit and oppress the people of Jiangnan, the people complained bitterly and miserably, so they missed the rule of the Song Dynasty very much. In order to break the people's thoughts, the Yuan Chancellor Sang Ge thought of a conspiracy trick, and at his behest, a Western Xia demon monk named Yang Lian Zhenjia began to frantically dig qiantang and the Song Dynasty imperial tombs around Shaoxing. They not only looted the countless rare treasures of the royal tomb, but also crushed the bones of the emperors of the Song Dynasty under a thirteen-zhang-high stone pagoda, implying "Zhenben".

When Yang Zhenjia dug up Song Lizong's coffin, he saw that the mercury-soaked corpse was well preserved and vivid, and a demon monk had an evil thought. So he ordered someone to fish out Lizong's body, hang it upside down on a tree and drain the mercury, and after seven days cut off Lizong's head, and then set gold and silver to make a magic weapon. Although Tibetan Buddhism has a tradition of using human bone tools, Yang Zhenjia's practice is more of a perverted ostentation.

After Yang Zhenjia's death, this "magic weapon" of his became a royal plaything of the Yuan Dynasty, and whenever a large banquet was held, the members of the royal family would take out the skull of Lizong for everyone to see and meet their psychological needs for vanity.

After the Yuan Dynasty was destroyed, Lizong's skull was searched out of the palace by the Ming army, and Zhu Yuanzhang held it in his hand and looked up at the sky with a long sigh and a thousand emotions. The Records of the Special Domain Zhou records that Zhu Yuanzhang "sent envoys to Shaoxing to bury the top bone of Emperor Lizong of Song." First of all, shang and the attendant Wei Su discussed Song Yuanxing, Su Yinyan Yuanshi ancestors to Yuanjian, Hu monks AndiGu and Myoko wanted to destroy the Song Huiji Zhuling, when the Xia people Yang Ren Zhenjia was the chief photographer of Jiangnan, and played as the second monk. Then he sent out the tombs and took their golden treasures. The bones of the emperors were paralyzed in the Forbidden City of Hangzhou, and the floating slaughter was built on it to disgust it. He also cut off the top bone of the Sect for the Western Monks, and the world heard about it, and it was not sad. Sighing for a long time, it is said that (danger) Su Yue: "Song Nandu kings have no great loss of morality, and they are not feuds with Yuan, and Yuan takes advantage of his weakness, why is it reckless and cool like yes!"! Zhu Yuanzhang then ordered Lizong's head to be reburied in the Yongmu Mausoleum in Shaoxing.
