As we all know, the last century was an important century of changes in the world pattern, and experienced the First World War, the Second World War, the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, and some other wars of all sizes. One of the countries, China and the United States, has gone to war with it, and everyone must know which country it is, yes, it is Vietnam. It is worth noting that although China and the United States have broken out wars with Vietnam, the outcome is different, the United States fought for ten years, and finally failed, and our country only fought for half a month, and already the army came to the city, why is this?
At the end of the 1970s, Vietnam, with the support of the Soviet Union, implemented the so-called Indochina Federal Plan in a vain attempt to dominate the Indochina Peninsula, and constantly provoked China and occupied Chinese territory, and China was forced to fight back in self-defense after repeated warnings were ineffective. China mobilized 200,000 troops to launch a full-scale attack on Vietnam from the 772-mile-long Sino-Vietnamese border, and in just half a month we occupied the three provincial capitals of Lao Cai, Gao Binh and Lang Son, annihilating 100,000 enemy troops, and if we went any further, we could directly attack the Vietnamese capital, but we did not do so, and soon announced the withdrawal of our troops.
As for the United States, because the Red Power of the Soviet Union spread to North Vietnam, the United States began to help South Vietnam to fight against North Vietnam in order to prevent the whole of Vietnam from being infected by the Soviet Union, at first the United States only symbolically provided some material help, but then the United States found that South Vietnam really could not do it, and continued to do so at all to resist the North Vietnamese offensive, and then the United States intervened strongly, mainly anti-guests. This war lasted for a total of ten years, the two sides came and went, the United States in this war to do everything in their power, the use of all kinds of high-tech weapons, almost the use of nuclear weapons, but the result? In the past decade, both sides have suffered heavy losses, and the United States has withdrawn in ashes.
Why is there such a contrast? First of all, the original intention of the two countries is different, the United States wants hegemonism, so that not only Vietnam does not agree, China and the Soviet Union do not agree, so they are willing to help Vietnam; and China fights Vietnam more to punish, Vietnam itself has a bad idea, I hit you without a problem. Secondly, Vietnam's terrain is more complex, North Vietnam has taken advantage of its geographical advantages to fight guerrilla warfare with the United States, and our country is connected to Vietnam, and what we are best at is guerrilla warfare, so we can effortlessly defeat Vietnam.
