Chu Xiongsheng (楚熊胜), surnamed Xiong (熊氏), was the seventh monarch of the State of Chu and reigned for 24 years from 969 BC to 946 BC.

Chu Xiongsheng is the 36th grandson of the fire god Zhu Rong and the 34th grandson of Ji Lian, the ancestor of the qi surname. His ancestor was Chu Xiong Flea (鬻熊), Tianzu was Chu Xiongli, Gao Zu was Chu Xiong Crazy, great-grandfather was Chu Xiongxuan, grandfather was Chu Xiong Ai, and father was Chu Xiong.

In 970 BC, his father Chu Xiongsheng died, and Chu Xiongsheng succeeded chu jun, and the historical records record that his reign year was counted from 969 BC.

During the Chu Xiongsheng period, the Chu state was still in the development stage of the blue wisps of the yanlu road and the arduous struggle, and was still in the upward period of expanding its territory and enhancing its national strength, chu Xiongsheng inherited the legacy of its predecessors and contributed to the rise of the Chu state.

In 946 BC, Chu Xiongsheng died, and his brother Chu Xiongyang succeeded Chu Jun.
