Dong Yu (1740-1818), also known as Xijing, was a native of Fuyang, Zhejiang. Son of Dong Bangda. Qianlong twenty-eighth year (1763) jinshi. He was promoted to the rank of Scholar of Mandarin Temple, Minister of Military Aircraft, Shōshū Tobe, and Prince Taishi. 卒, gifted to Taifu. He has been adhering to his family education since childhood and is good at landscapes. During his tenure as Hubu Shangshu, he was commissioned to participate in the compilation of the "Continuation of the Shiqu Baodi" and the "Continuation of the Secret Temple Zhulin".
