The two of them had a place in the Kuomintang that no one else could match, but there was another man whose name was unknown, but who had also been the supreme leader of the Kuomintang.
This man is Lin Sen, a name that sounds strange at first glance, but he has served as the chairman of the Nationalist government for nearly eleven years, but why do many of us only hear about Chiang Kai-shek but not his name? Why is this person so special?

Lin Sen was an authentic Taiwanese, born before the Qing Dynasty, but during the tongzhi years that had already declined. In the Guangxu period, because the Japanese invaded Taiwan, Lin Sen, who had been traveling all day without worries about food and clothing, suddenly realized that he could no longer go on so comfortably.
From then on, Lin Sen joined the activities of resisting Japan and overthrowing the Qing Dynasty without hesitation, he even participated in the Wuchang Uprising, has been actively following Sun Yat-sen, and served as the president of the Senate in the National Provisional Government of Nanjing, and has officially opened his political career since then.
Lin Sen has always held a high position in the National Government, and for nearly 20 years, Lin Sen's lowest official position is still the vice president of the Legislative Yuan, which shows the importance that the National Government attaches to Lin Sen. Mainly because Lin Sen was a member of the Kuomintang and had been following Sun Yat-sen since the xinhai Revolution.
In 1931, a lot of major events happened in this year, and the most memorable thing for us is the September 18 Incident, which changed the fate of our country, and the fate of all people was closely linked on this day.
After the September 18 Incident, Chiang Kai-shek stepped down, and it was Lin Sen who succeeded him, and since then, Lin Sen has officially become the chairman of the National Government, but this name is just a piece of paper, and he has become a puppet with no real name.
At that time, the literary scholar Hu Shi once sarcastically said: "Mr. Lin Zichao has made the chairman of the state government 'vacant', so that some people have actually 'no chairman in sight'" This sentence is ugly, but it is also the truth.
To give a very simple example, but it is well known that Zhang Xueliang "forced" Chiang Kai-shek to unite the common anti-Japanese front, but Zhang Xueliang was also imprisoned after that, and although Lin Sen, as the chairman of the People's Republic of China, issued a pardon order against Zhang Xueliang, zhang Xueliang could not be pardoned without Chiang Kai-shek's nod.
It can also be seen from this that Lin Sen has simply set a name and has no real power at all. The reason why Lin Sen was elected president of the National People's Republic is also very simple, because he can be regarded as "highly respected". First of all, he participated in the early revolution and made a lot of merit, and his qualifications were absolutely sufficient.
Due to Chiang Kai-shek's lack of seniority at that time, Lin Sen was easily accepted by everyone as a moderate in the Kuomintang, and of course, Lin Sen was pushed out by everyone, especially many people valued that he did not have a good relationship with Chiang Kai-shek, thinking that he could use this to contain Chiang Kai-shek.
But in fact, Lin Sen only became an honorary chairman in the end, just a marionette. However, Lin Sen did not do nothing, and he also carried out many occasions when he needed to be present on behalf of the National Government.
Especially when contradictions arose within the Kuomintang in the follow-up, it was Lin Sen who reconciled from the middle to temporarily stabilize the Kuomintang, and it can be said that he has done the best he can.
Although Lin Sen came from a good background and has always been an official and prosperous, he himself was actually very low-key, not like many Kuomintang officials at that time, spending money and living extravagantly, on the contrary, his food, clothing and living were very simple and unpretentious.
Unfortunately, in 1943, two years before the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, a ruthless car accident took Lin Sen's life and was finally buried in the Leshan Forest Park in Chongqing.
Lin Sen once had a wife, but it belonged to an arranged marriage, and the other party was older than him, so Lin Sen was very dissatisfied, and the new marriage left home to join the revolution after only a week. In fact, Lin Sen's favorite person is his cousin, and the two are in love with each other.
A few years later, Lin Sen's wife died, and the cousin took the opportunity to show Lin Sen his heart, but the cousin's parents wanted to marry her to a rich businessman, and the cousin wanted Lin Sen to take her to elope with him, but unfortunately Lin Sen looked forward and backward, although he was very reluctant, he still rejected the cousin.
As a result, Lin Sen did not expect his cousin to be so determined, and when he returned home, he hanged himself and died, Lin Sen was very sad, swore not to be close to the woman again, and always took his cousin's bones with him, but unfortunately the affection came too late.
