Thousands of founding stars of New China, each of whose experiences can compose a legendary story, their heroic deeds can be written into a hymn, today to tell the "whirlwind brave general" Luo Shunchu, who is on a par with the "whirlwind commander" Han Xianchu.
Born in 1914 in Shanghang County, Fujian Province, Luo Shunchu participated in the local peasant revolt at the age of fifteen, joined the Chinese Communist Youth League in the same year, and joined the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in 1931. In 1932, the fourth phase of the Ruijin Red Army School opened, and Luo Shunchu was just promoted from an ordinary soldier to a squad leader because of his excellent performance, and was elected to the school for training and study.

Three months of intensive training soon ended, in the school, Luo Shunchu set strict requirements on himself, with a meticulous and correct attitude to warn himself at all times, strict self-discipline he was found by the superior leaders, coupled with the young age of some in the private school, but also contact with new learning, not only have an understanding of traditional Chinese knowledge, also have their own ideas about advanced Western ideas, and even can simply speak a few words of English, so Luo Shunchu was left in the Red Army School.
At that time, many people in the army could not read a single character, and Luo Shunchu, who had a "cultural foundation," fully demonstrated his advantages and received key training. Luo Shunchu himself worked hard, and with the help of "Bo Le" such opportunities, these allowed him to grow rapidly. Later, in time for the Red Army school to open a staff training class, Luo Shunchu continued to study the knowledge of staff officers.
At the end of the semester, the troops came to the school to pick people, and the conspicuous Luo Shunchu met his old superior, and thus smoothly entered the highest command organ of the Red Army. Luo Shunchu's promotion from the most inconspicuous small soldier to the squad leader to the commander of the military region to the chief of naval staff, all of which are inseparable from Luo Shunchu's strict self-discipline, which can be described as a successful counterattack.
Luo Shunchu was nicknamed "Whirlwind Brave General", of course, because he was extremely brave on the battlefield and could lead the warriors to victory. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Luo Shunchu was ordered to lead the troops of the Luzhong Military Region north to aid the northeast and establish a base area. In January 1946, the First Division of the Shandong People's Liberation Army and other units were organized into the three columns of the Northeast Democratic United Army, the commander of the column was Han Xianchu, and the political commissar was Luo Shunchu.
At that time, the situation in the northeast was unfavorable to our army, and smoke was billowing everywhere, and our army was not only a gap in numbers, but also had no equipment that could be compared with the national army equipped with American weapons, and there was a big difference in strength. However, Luo Shunchu created the miracle of hitting the stone with a pebble with the three columns, defeated the Kuomintang ace army with the poorly equipped "Tu Eight Road", and won successive battles, so the three columns won the title of "Whirlwind Unit".
In 1950, Luo Shun was first appointed chief of staff of the Navy, in 1951 he was appointed second deputy commander of the Navy, and in 1955 he was awarded the rank of founding lieutenant general. It is reasonable to say that after a lifetime of fighting, it is time to enjoy some "Qingfu", but Luo Shunchu did not, he is an extremely "door-picking" lieutenant general, living a simple life to the extreme, never paying attention to eating and wearing.
There are many frugal generals in our army, but there is really no way to find a second one like Luo Shunchu. The clothes that Luo Shunchu usually wears are full of holes, just like beggars, but Luo Shunchu is reluctant to throw them away, and the seams are patched and insisted on wearing them, until they are worn until they can no longer be worn. Every time the troops issued new uniforms, Luo Shun first received them and then handed them over to the public, and the lieutenant general who did not wear new clothes was probably the only one.
How much province is Luo Shunchu? An enamel teapot can be used for decades, drinking water is it, brushing teeth is also it, even the guards can't look down, privately gave him a new one, for this also made Luo Shunchu angry, ordering the guards must find it back. The guard was scolded and aggrieved, but he could only go to the garbage dump to rummage, and it took half a day to find the teapot that had been following Luo Shunchu from the Northern Shaanxi Huishi.
Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, Luo Shun junior high school general has always lived in a house at the level of an ordinary cadre, even if he became a big chief, the state arranged a big house for him to live in. According to Luo Shunchu's meaning, his family had a small population, and he did not need to live in a large house, so he left the house to the cadres in need. Later, no matter how the above adjustment was made, Luo Shunchu was unwilling to change rooms, and lived in his ordinary cadres' room for more than ten years.
During the war, Luo Shunchu was strict with himself, even after the founding of the country, the days began to slowly improve, Luo Shunchu was still strict with himself, never abusing his power for personal gain, even if it involved the education of his children, he also shook his head and refused.
Luo Shunchu had a young son, just in time to go to college, and the guards arranged for his young son to study at a well-known university without Luo Shunchu's knowledge. When Luo Shunchu learned of this, he was very angry, and called the guard to criticize him, questioning why the guard was hiding from him. As a result, the youngest son, who was supposed to report for duty, was disqualified from admission.
Luo Shunchu said that it is good for a child to want to learn, but he cannot go through the back door, he must be admitted by his own ability, and the learning opportunity can be given to him, but what he can learn depends on his own ability.
