Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Han Fuyu's son refused to go to Taiwan, saying that "Chiang Kai-shek killed my father"

At the end of 1948, the People's Liberation Army was on the verge of completing the final encirclement of Peiping. For a time, the "big people" in Beiping City were very busy.

General Fu Zuoyi resisted the pressure of all sides and was busy holding peace talks with our army. Soon, he made the greatest decision of his life: the uprising.

Some gentry, capitalists, and nationalist officials are thinking of a way back. These people generally have relatively rich pockets, and in their opinion: going to Hong Kong, going to the United States, and going to Taiwan are all "ways out."

Under such circumstances, few people will notice a family in Peiping City with the surname of Han, they are Han Fuyu's family. At this time, Han Fuyu had been dead for 10 years, and no one would care about his wife and children at this juncture.

Like the families of other Nationalist generals, the Han family is also discussing: What should our family do next? Where to escape?

Han Fuyu's wife, Gao Yizhen, hesitated, whether to go to Taiwan or not? She felt that at this time, she "sat and waited" and it was not okay to stay in Beiping, after all, her husband had done so many wrong things in those years, after all, they were family members of the Kuomintang.

Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Han Fuyu's son refused to go to Taiwan, saying that "Chiang Kai-shek killed my father"

Just when she hesitated, the second son, Han Zihua, stepped forward. Han Zihua was 25 years old at the time and was the son his mother Gao Yizhen relied on most. Han Zihua bitterly persuaded his mother to stay in Beiping, and he put forward two reasons:

First, Chiang Kai-shek killed my father, why are we still running after Chiang Kai-shek?

Second, some people go to Taiwan to facilitate the transfer to the United States in the future, people have money to do this, we are so poor, can we go to the United States? In the end, you can only stay in Taiwan.

These two reasons for not going to Taiwan are one out of emotional inability to accept and the other out of material considerations. Obviously, the reason why "Chiang Kai-shek killed my father" is the most important.

These two reasons really persuaded her mother Gao Yizhen, so the family stayed in Beiping, waiting for liberation and waiting for an uncertain fate in the future.

In Chinese culture, there is an old saying that is called: "The dragon gives birth to the dragon, the phoenix gives birth to the phoenix, and the son of the mouse punches the hole in the ground." Han Fuyu died under the insult of not actively resisting Japan, but judging from the words and deeds of his second son Han Zihua, it seems to be quite bloody.

In this issue, the author wants to tell you about some of the experiences of Han Fuyu's descendants. How do the children of the Han family view their father's death? After Han Fuyu died, the tree fell and scattered, and what kind of suffering did they experience behind their father's insults? After liberation, what was the final outcome of the Han family who remained in Beiping?

Who said that if you put on a "non-existent" father, you can't live your life well! The fate of the Han family may give us some inspiration: people's lives are chosen by themselves!

One: The Death of Han Fuyu

On January 19, 1938, Han Fuyu was tried in Henan.

In the face of the various crimes listed by He Yingqin, Han Fuyu did not say a word, nor did he ask for forgiveness. Perhaps, he really has nothing to defend. After all, taking the initiative to abandon the natural danger of the Yellow River Taishan led to the Japanese army driving straight in Shandong, and he had an unshirkable responsibility.

After the trial, Han Fuyu was imprisoned in a small building. At this time, he did not know what awaited him. Until 5 days later, in the evening, two agents went upstairs to find him and said to him, "Please come with us!" ”

Han Fuyu thought that He Yingqin was talking to him again, and he didn't take it too seriously, so he got up and followed. But the agent said again: "Is there anything wrong at home?" You write a letter we can deliver! ”

The seasoned Han Fuyu immediately realized that something was wrong, so he observed as he walked. Sure enough, the agents downstairs were different from usual, all of them were loaded with live ammunition.

Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Han Fuyu's son refused to go to Taiwan, saying that "Chiang Kai-shek killed my father"

In a hurry, Han Fuyu asked the agent leading the way, saying, "I want to go back and change my shoes." Who knows, as soon as he turned around, the agents began to draw their guns. Han Fuyu, who did not have any weapons in his hands, immediately collapsed in a pool of blood.

The day was January 24, 1938, when the former Feng Yuxiang, one of the "Thirteen Taibao", the chairman of the Shandong Provincial Government and a second-class general of the Nationalist Army, died in this disgraceful way. Later, the Han family, who was responsible for the convergence, carefully counted: he was shot 7 times, all of which were critical.

As to why Chiang Kai-shek must kill Han Fuyu, it has been talked about by the world for decades. The reason given by Lao Jiang at the beginning was: he did not obey the order and retreated without authorization.

But Mr. Liang Shuming, a well-known patriotic democrat, once said this in an interview with americans in the 1980s:

Han inadvertently offended Jiang, so Chiang shot him. How did you offend? It is the Xi'an Incident!

What Mr. Liang Shuming meant was that Han Fuyu supported Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng during the Xi'an Incident. Later, when the incident was resolved peacefully, Zhang Xueliang specially sent Chiang Kai-shek back to Nanjing, and the concubines of old Chiang all went to pat old Chiang's ass and ask for warmth.

Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Han Fuyu's son refused to go to Taiwan, saying that "Chiang Kai-shek killed my father"

At this time, Han Fuyu's evaluation of this matter was: "I didn't expect Zhang Hanqing to do things so sloppily!" It was precisely this sentence that offended Chiang Kai-shek fiercely.

There are many scholars who agree with Mr. Liang Shuming's view. After all, are there still fewer people in the nationalist troops who have fallen without a fight? Has he ever seen old Chiang Kai-shek so "strictly disciplined"?

However, regardless of whether Chiang Kai-shek killed Han Fuyu or not to vent his anger, Han Zihua's evaluation of his death, including other children of the Han family, was basically the same. In an interview in his later years, the second son, Han Zihua, once said:

Whatever Chiang Kai-shek's motives, in the life-and-death national war, Chiang Kai-shek held my father accountable for "disobeying orders and retreating without authorization," and my father should have nothing to say.

To be honest, I am very impressed that Han Zihua can evaluate his father so objectively. Such an appraisal has a general pattern and a great national righteousness.

Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Han Fuyu's son refused to go to Taiwan, saying that "Chiang Kai-shek killed my father"

After all, jumping out of those disgraceful factional struggles within the National Army, and also jumping out of the old Chiang Kai-shek's long-term abuse of power for personal gain, the last thing Han Fuyu should forget at the crucial moment was that he was in a war that concerned the survival of the nation, how could he retreat?

Forgetting this at a critical time was Han Fuyu's biggest mistake.

Second: At the critical time, it is still necessary to rely on the original match

It is said that people take tea and cool, and after Han Fuyu's death, few people come back to the former traffic court. Even during the condolence period, his relatives and friends refused to come, for fear of having anything to do with his family. All this made Han Zihua feel for the first time: what is reality.

The only one who was willing to come and make some effort was Sun Lianzhong, Han Fuyu's old friend before his death. It was precisely because of Sun Lianzhong's help that the Han family would not be too miserable later.

On the outside, the subordinates are "trees falling and scattered"; on the inside, it is actually not much better. Several of Han Fuyu's wives during his lifetime also behaved differently after his death.

Like most warlords at the time, Han Fuyu was not an "honest man" emotionally.

His original name was Gao Yizhen, the niece of a famous scholar at that time, and he was a bridesmaid. She is a small-footed woman, and she can't be considered pretty, so she is usually reluctant to show her face, and people call her "Lady Butler".

However, although Han Fuyu was "fluttering the bunting flag" outside, he was not very unconscionable about the original lady. At least, when he was at home, he was polite to her and never thought of abandoning his wife. If Han Fuyu knew what happened later, he would probably be glad that this was one of the most correct things he had done in his life.

Han Fuyu's second wife, named Ji Ganqing, was known as the "diplomatic lady" of the Han family.

Ji Ganqing was originally a singer. In 1928, Han Fuyu listened to a play while garrisoning Luohe and fell in love with her at first sight. At that time, Ji Ganqing was originally in contact with the local tax bureau chief, and when the other party heard that she was taken in by Han Fuyu, she did not dare to show her head again. Soon, Ji Ganqing was married back home by Han Fuyu and became the second lady.

Although this Ji Ganqing did not give birth to a son and a half daughter for Han Fuyu, he was very sociable. Han Fuyu had a bad temper and often offended people, relying on Ji Ganqing to play the round field from it. After a long time, people outside still think that this Ji Ganqing is the legitimate "Lady Han". Even Han Fuyu's aftermath was handled by Ji Ganqing.

Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Han Fuyu's son refused to go to Taiwan, saying that "Chiang Kai-shek killed my father"

Han Fuyu's third wife, named Li Yuqing, was known as the "Entertainment Lady" of the Han family.

Li Yuqing's family was poor, and when he grew up, he fell into the wind and dust, and because of his beautiful appearance, he became the local "top card" in Jinan. Soon after Han Fuyu arrived in Shandong, he heard about Li Yuqing, and later spent a lot of money to marry her back home. On weekdays, Han Fuyu ate, drank and had fun, and basically took this third lady with him.

After all, the original wife, Gao Yizhen, is from a famous family, and after her husband's death, she naturally takes care of everything in the family, and she is also worried about big and small things.

And the "diplomatic lady" Ji Ganqing, because she did not give birth to a child, proposed early: "I want to leave the Han family and run for my own future!" ”

Gao Yizhen thought that this request was not excessive, after all, she had done things for her husband earlier, so she did not embarrass her and let her go early. Since then, this "diplomatic lady" has disappeared from the eyes of the world.

The third lady, Li Yuqing, after all, gave birth to the youngest son Han Sihuang for Han Fuyu, and stayed in the Han family for a period of time. But later, the days were too hard, and I also had the idea of leaving.

Gao Yizhen understood her thoughts, but at the same time made a request: "If you want to remarry, you can; if you want to leave, you can also; but your son's surname is Han and cannot be taken away." Later, Li Yuqing could not fight Gao Yizhen, so he left his son and left silently.

Since then, Gao Yizhen has taken all of Han Fuyu's children alone and begun a long road of "survival".

The reason why the word "survival" is used is because in such a war and chaos, Gao Yizhen, a small-footed woman who lost the protection of the head of the family, did not have a good time. Even if she just takes a wrong step, she may ruin this fragile family.

Three: After fleeing in all directions, he finally settled in Beiping

Han Fuyu had 4 sons and 1 adopted daughter.

The first 3 sons were all born to the original Gao Yizhen, and the fourth son was born to the third lady who ran away. There was also a daughter named Han Siyu, who was originally the daughter of Han Fuyu's 5th brother, and because Han Fuyu had no daughter, he passed her over.

Because the eldest son has long been plagued by mental illness, the second brother Han Zihua, born in 1923, has become another main backbone of several younger siblings in addition to his mother.

Before Han Fuyu's death in 1938, Han Zihua and his younger siblings had a good life. Compared to the children of poor families, at least they have no material worries. They were able to receive a good education, and Han Zihua's Chinese and English were excellent.

Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Han Fuyu's son refused to go to Taiwan, saying that "Chiang Kai-shek killed my father"

After Han Fuyu's death, Gao Yizhen thought that they could not stay in Jinan and planned to flee to Xi'an. Walking to the train station, Gao Yizhen was worried about the ticket when a security corps commander named Wen Chenglie found them. It turned out that this person and Han Fuyu were old acquaintances. Remembering their old friendship, Wen Chenglie sent them to Xi'an for personal gain.

After that, Han Zihua's family fled to Wuhan, Shanghai and other places. In his words, "The Japanese are chasing in the back, we are running in front, and no one wants to be a slave to the country."

Finally, the family rushed to Beiping in 1942 and began a relatively stable life.

When he first entered Beiping, he had no one to rely on, and the whole family had a difficult life. At this time, an old thing that had once "fingered the belly for marriage" solved their urgent needs.

It turned out that Han Fuyu had a brother named Gu Liangmin earlier. At that time, when Han Fuyu was still alive, he made an agreement with Gu Liangmin: When my second son grows up, you will marry your daughter to him as a wife.

This Gu Liangmin is a person of credit, heard that Han Zihua is 19 years old, and he still looks like a talent, and is living a difficult life in Beiping with his family, so he specially sent someone to send his daughter from Chongqing to Beiping to let them complete the marriage. At the same time, he also let his daughter bring a lot of gold and silver as a dowry.

After Han Zihua and Gu Yizhi got married, they relied on his wife's dowry to ensure the family's life in Beiping to a certain extent.

Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Han Fuyu's son refused to go to Taiwan, saying that "Chiang Kai-shek killed my father"

In 1947, at the age of 24, Han Zihua approached He Siyuan, then mayor of Peiping, hoping to get a job in the government.

When Han Fuyu was in charge of Shandong, He Siyuan was the director of the Department of Education in Shandong, and the two had a lot of dealings. Later, his officials became bigger and bigger, and in 1946 he became the mayor of Peiping.

When Han Zihua came to the door to look for him, He Siyuan did not prevaricate, but for the work, he said quite difficultly: "Now it is so chaotic, the work is not easy to arrange at once." ”

There was no way, Han Zihua could only go home and wait. Until the end of 1948, there was a scene at the beginning of this article: the whole family was discussing whether to go to Taiwan or stay in Beiping. In the end, at Han Zihua's insistence, the family stayed.

Four: The son of a warlord to join the People's Liberation Army?

On January 31, 1949, the People's Liberation Army entered the city, Peiping was peacefully liberated, and the people cheered and rejoiced. Han Zihua, his mother and younger siblings also ushered in a new life.

After the People's Liberation Army entered the city, North China University and the Southbound Work Group began to enroll students. Han Zihua had a good cultural foundation earlier and was successfully admitted to North China University (the predecessor of Chinese Min University). A few months later, Han Zihua followed the school from Beiping to Hebei, where he studied systematically.

Not long after, the superior suddenly issued a document notice: encourage students to join the army.

At that time, the principal, Mr. Wu Yuzhang, was still quite puzzled by this, and he believed that students should focus on their studies. However, General Nie Rongzhen believes that the cultural level of the troops has never gone up, and it is urgent to absorb some college students and dolls. In the end, under nie Rongzhen's bitter persuasion, Principal Wu Yuzhang agreed.

This news ignited the enthusiasm of the students to join the army, and everyone rushed to register.

Seeing that his classmates had all gone to join the army, Han Zihua was very envious. Growing up with his father in the military camp, he always had the desire to join the army, but when he thought of his father's reputation, he did not dare to have any extravagant expectations. In his opinion, how could the warlord's son have the opportunity to join the People's Liberation Army?

The class teacher saw his concern at a glance and encouraged him: "It is precisely because you are from a warlord background that you should sign up to fight the warlord and fight Chiang Kai-shek!" ”

This sentence woke up Han Zihua, and he immediately ran to register.

From the bottom of his heart, Han Zihua knew that his father had made a big mistake, but that didn't mean he didn't hate Chiang Kai-shek, nor did he want to avenge his father's murder. Especially after being educated at North China University, he had a clear understanding of the nature of warlords. In this way, he decisively became a soldier in the People's Liberation Army.

This is destined to be a decision that will affect Han Zihua's life! It was also the proudest decision of his life.

After that, he followed the troops to Ningxia, Shanxi and other places, and witnessed the founding of New China.

In 1950, when the Korean War broke out, Han Zihua and his comrades went to Korea and were awarded the third class merit.

Regarding this experience, whenever someone asked about Han Zihua and hoped that he could tell the whole story, he did not mention his own merits very much, but only missed those comrades who had sacrificed with infinite sad eyes.

Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Han Fuyu's son refused to go to Taiwan, saying that "Chiang Kai-shek killed my father"

When he was with his father, Han Zihua had not seen the faces of those warlords and soldiers in the nationalist army, who were deceitful and calculated for the sake of saving their lives and seeking wealth.

Thinking of them and looking at his volunteer comrades-in-arms, Han Zihua deeply understood why the Chiang family dynasty was doomed to lose. He was immensely proud of his choice.

After returning to China with his military exploits, Han Zihua transferred to Lanzhou, entered the power sector, and took root in Gansu. In 1984, Han Zihua was transferred to the Gansu Provincial Committee of the Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee as secretary general. This year, he is already 61 years old and is still making a little contribution to the motherland.

At the same time, Han Zihua's younger siblings have also become talents.

After graduating from university, his third brother worked for the Xi'an Transport Company. At the same time, he will also do some volunteer work for the Huangpu Alumni Association, which can be regarded as a contribution to cross-strait reunification.

The youngest brother, although separated from his birth mother early, his adoptive mother Gao Yizhen also took great care of him. He got good grades from an early age, and later was admitted to Tsinghua University, and after graduation, he worked as a teacher at Beijing Electric Power Institute.

As for the youngest sister, Han Sixuan, the adopted daughter of the Han family, she also received a good education, graduated from the Beijing Electric Power School, and later grew into a senior engineer.

Several children can grow up in the beacon years, and can become the pillars of new China, and each one is extremely grateful to her mother Gao Yizhen. In their view, it is the mother who resisted the pressure at a critical time to let the Han family have a future. In 1957, Gao Yizhen died of illness in Beijing, leaving no regrets.

At the same time, whenever he mentions his life now, Han Zihua is also particularly grateful for his decision not to go to Taiwan. These children of the Han family, who have endured hardships, have met various people after their father's death, including nostalgic people and all kinds of cold eyes.

Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Han Fuyu's son refused to go to Taiwan, saying that "Chiang Kai-shek killed my father"

In the end, it was new China that gave them a new life, and the teachers who cared about their growth and the leaders who were willing to cultivate them to become leaders made them feel the warmth of life, and let them find their self-confidence in the early years when they were under great pressure.

Nowadays, people after the third and fourth generations of the Han family live in all walks of life and ordinary life. They would go to worship Han Fuyu, but they also knew what the righteousness of the family was.
