Integration and transformation Infiniti brand was officially incorporated into Dongfeng Nissan's management system

On the morning of January 5, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. announced that Dongfeng Infiniti will be included in Dongfeng Nissan's management system as an independent business headquarters, and together with Nissan and Venucia brands, Infiniti will become the third brand of Dongfeng Nissan.

It is understood that dongfeng Infiniti's transformation has begun on January 1, 2022. Infiniti will make full use of the advantages of Dongfeng Nissan's full value chain in R&D, manufacturing and management, from planning to execution seamless connection, explore new mobility business models, contribute to Infiniti's electrification, autonomous driving, mobile Interconnection and shared mobility services, and further explore opportunities in the luxury car market.

This integration is consistent with Dongfeng Motor's spirit of promoting the development of strategic business, achieving high-quality operations, and further promoting infiniti's development in China. After the integration and synergy, Dongfeng Nissan, which has three major brands, Nissan, Venucia and Infiniti, will focus on the high-quality development of the passenger car business, optimize the organizational and cost structure, improve decision-making and operational efficiency, strengthen corporate governance, and provide Chinese consumers with diversified products and technologies. In 2022, Infiniti will bring a new round of products such as the new QX60 to further meet the needs of Chinese consumers for luxury brands.

Through a series of reform measures such as business integration and optimization, Dongfeng Motor will continue to provide high-quality products and services to consumers of Nissan, Venucia and Infiniti.

Since Infiniti was domestically produced in 2014, it did not launch the third domestic model QX60 until the end of last year, and the product update iteration was slow. In terms of sales, in the first 11 months of 2021, Infiniti only sold 7691 units in China, down 64.7% compared with the same period last year, after being incorporated into the Dongfeng Nissan management system, whether it is management or marketing, or will bring greater support to the Infiniti brand, opening a new journey for Infiniti in the Chinese market.
