In addition to the Tang "Tide" scene, an immersive panoramic light and shadow exhibition officially authorized by the Dunhuang Research Institute was also held here.
The century-old architectural navy club "incarnates" Dunhuang Mogao Caves Cave 220, through a fascinating introduction, a full cave custom mini model, 63m immersive light and shadow theater, taking you to explore the story behind cave 220 through the millennium.
The Mogao Caves are 1680 meters long from north to south, and at the peak of history, there are as many as a thousand Buddhist caves on the cliffs. The special exhibition "Dunhuang Wonderland" focuses on cave 220 of Mogao Caves. There are wonderful images of music and dance, and the gorgeous lamp houses, grand bands, and maiko suspected of dancing huxuan in the painting all point to the capital of the Tang Dynasty, Chang'an, the world's metropolis at that time.
Dunhuang Research Institute specially customized the mini model of the whole cave of Cave 220 for the exhibition, which is the largest mini cave in the exhibition in previous years, and reproduces the details of the murals in the cave in high definition. In this exhibition hall, there are also many interpretations and patterns of various elements of Cave 220. Remember to combine the text on the display board and watch and study it carefully.
The second exhibition hall is actually a passageway, but also a replica of caves 220, using high-definition images produced by the Digital Research Institute of Dunhuang Research Institute. Here you can only use the lantern to see the mural, and for a while it is as if you are standing in the Mogao Caves and immersed in the scene.
The music and dance pictures of the medicine master on the north wall of Cave 220 depict a grand band, and according to historical records, there are more than 300 kinds of musical instruments in the Tang Dynasty. The third exhibition hall displays imitation musical instruments, in the form of murals, representing the most popular instruments of the Tang Dynasty.
The song "Water Drum" played in the headphones on both sides was re-arranged and arranged by composer Zhang Meng according to the dunhuang ancient score "Water Drum Zi" (Dunhuang Pipa Score) interpreted by Mr. Chen Yingshi. Go listen to it!
While people marvel at the number of Caves in Dunhuang Mogao Caves and the exquisite and grand murals, there is probably a question: Who built these caves? In fact, there is an answer in the cave, and there are usually pictures of the providers on the murals. And the provider is the master of these caves.
There is also a corridor here, lined with scenes of Chang'an people's life reflected by light and shadow. You can take pictures here and punch cards.
Next is the highlight of the exhibition - the 63m ultra-long and wide light and shadow hall, sit here and watch the half-hour film, and listen to the story of the first generation of the providers of Cave 220.
Surrounded by 360 degrees and surrounded by a 5.1 surround sound field, the light and shadow hall creates a new experience immersed in the story, simulating the viewing perspective of the mural (such as the same picture at different times, etc.), inviting the audience to actively explore the plot and follow the protagonist on a journey from life to the mural.
After the story of the Light and Shadow Theater is told, there will be small Easter eggs randomly, and whether you can see it depends on luck!
