"Arashishima rattan brand, prestige is far and wide. Recently, the rattan card exercise exhibition brought by the Pingtan Rattan Pai Gymnastics Association was held in the Fenglitian Cultural and Sports Park, attracting a large number of people to watch and feel the charm of Pingtan Rattan Pai Exercises together.
With the sound of war drums, the fifth and sixth generations of rattan card exercise inheritors performed songs such as "Arashijima Yukaze" to the audience. Recently, the cultural and creative workshop on the second floor of the Cultural Center in the experimental area is crowded, and the handmade activities of Pingtan shell carving are being carried out here. After listening to the explanation of Zhan Sheng, the non-hereditary heir of pingtan shell carving, the citizens at the scene began to make it. Various shells of different colors and sizes have been processed into works with Pingtan characteristics such as Pingtan Daffodils and Stone Houses.
Citizen Lin Shiyun showed his works and said: "It is very meaningful to experience the handmade of intangible shell carvings in Pingtan, enjoy the fun of shell carving making in the process of exploration, and cultivate emotions." ”

Intangible Cultural Heritage Lectures Increase Knowledge
Recently, the Pingtan "Intangible Cultural Heritage" knowledge lecture was held at the Cultural Center of the Experimental Zone. Zhan Lixin, chairman of the Folk Writers Association of the Experimental Zone, gave an in-depth explanation around the tangible cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage, introduced 24 intangible cultural heritages of Pingtan such as Pingtan shell carving, rattan pai exercises, Lantai traditional lanterns, and ciming opera to the audience, elaborated on the new concept of protecting cultural heritage, and exchanged warmly with the audience, and the atmosphere was active.
