Mercedes-Benz VISION EQXX debuted worldwide, with a range of more than 1,000 kilometers

Blue Whale Motors, January 4, at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2022), Mercedes-Benz VISION EQXX officially unveiled. As a new pure electric concept car under Mercedes-Benz, the maximum power of the new car can reach 150 kilowatts, the range of a single charge is more than 1000 kilometers, and the energy consumption of 100 kilometers is less than 10 kilowatt hours.

Inspired by Mercedes-Benz's IAA aerodynamic concept car Concept IAA released in 2015, the Mercedes-Benz VISION EQXX Concept car has a curved body that smoothly extends from the front face to the rear, outlining a visually striking shoulder line above the rear arch.

The new car features an Alabeam silver exterior, with a closed grille design, slender strips of headlights and through-the-day running lights that make it look stylish, with the Mercedes-Benz tri-fork at the front. The rear line is also very smooth, and the use of highly recognizable through taillights and retractable diffusers can be seamlessly integrated into the body after being retracted, and finally the vehicle wind resistance coefficient is reduced to less than 0.17Cd.

The vehicle features Bridgestone's Tunza Eco tires, combined with lightweight and environmentally friendly ENLITEN and Ologic technologies, for ultra-low rolling resistance. The tires feature aerodynamically optimised sidewalls paired with 20-inch lightweight magnesium alloy forged rims. At the same time, vision EQXX is equipped with a pure electric chassis with a lightweight F1 subframe, and the lightweight design makes the vehicle weigh only 1750kg.

In terms of interior, the VISION EQXX concept car adopts the ultimate pure design concept, the through-screen uses a 47.5-inch LED display, the resolution can reach 7680 * 660 pixels (8K), and the vehicle also uses human brain bionic technology, so that other elements of the user interface / user experience can better help the driver control the vehicle. Such software-led development processes have revolutionized the way electric vehicles are designed.

In terms of materials, the new car uses lightweight, sustainable materials, design details inspired by organic forms such as fungi and pure plant silk materials, and avoids the use of animal products. These sustainable, innovative, high-performance materials are expected to replace the oil and animal products that are now widely used in the automotive industry in the future.

In terms of power, the electric drive system of the VISION EQXX Concept is based on the power unit in the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE supercar and has a maximum power of up to 150 kW. The vehicle's battery pack has nearly 100 kWh of energy, but compared with the new EQS battery pack, its size is reduced by 50%, the weight is reduced by 30%, the energy consumption of 100 kilometers is less than 10 kWh, and the range of a single charge is more than 1000 km, which can achieve an energy efficiency level of 95%. It is worth mentioning that the ultra-thin solar panels on the roof can provide an additional range of 25 kilometers for the battery system.
