On the eve of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Qin Jiwei was already the commander of the Fifteenth Army, and new China had just been founded, and Qin Jiwei's troops were reorganized into the Fifteenth Army of the Volunteer Army and went to the Korean front; in the Battle of Shangganling, Qin Jiwei's Fifteenth Army defeated the arrogance of the US army and also played the prestige of the "Chitose Army."
