In the middle of the four courtyards in the south, a very special one, the eighty-year-old man surnamed Guo who accompanied us told us that this courtyard was originally the ancestral hall of the Guo family. The yard was well preserved because it had been used as a supply and marketing cooperative in the village since liberation. When I first introduced it, it was a shrine, but we didn't understand it, but later we learned that it was an ancestral hall. It turns out that the people of Qixian Read it in the hall, for example, the noodle soup is called noodles, and the ancestral hall has not become a shrine. Although this is a misunderstanding, it shows that the pronunciation of Qixian is very unique, and it still retains the pronunciation characteristics of ancient Chinese, which is a rare sample of Kuching language. Lao Guo said that every year during the New Year, the gods should be hung up in the ancestral hall, and the family came here to worship the ancestors. Now that the gods have been destroyed, it is impossible to verify who the ancestors were. However, the Guo clan originated from the State of Yu, began in the State of Wei during the Guo Huai, flourished in the Fenyang King Guo Ziyi, and most of the Guo clan in the Taiyuan Basin is this branch, which is said to have been proved by modern genetic testing technology, confirming the ancient precepts of the Guo family in Taiyuan. Yes, although Xinzhai Village has new characters, it is an ancient village. In the county chronicle of the Kangxi dynasty in Qixian County, it is recorded that Xinzhai Village was dominated by the surname Guo, and there were hundreds of people in that era, who began to live eight hundred years ago. Most of the owners of the four courtyards in the south have now left the new village, and their descendants have multiplied and lived all over the country, because their ancestors planted land to do business and made a fortune, did business in major cities, and did not return after liberation. A courtyard on the north side of the street is Guo Tiancheng's, which is an old revolutionary, who served as the county magistrate of Qi County, and the people of Qi County know everyone and are very famous. Later, the Guo family also produced several county-level cadres, and some of them returned to the village and built a new Guo family compound, setting a new benchmark for the construction of new rural areas. In fact, Xinzhai Village belongs to the old district of Qi County, where guerrillas often operated during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and Marshal Xu Qianqian commanded the Jinzhong Campaign in this area during the War of Liberation and made brilliant achievements in the history of our army. In the village, there have been revolutionary martyrs such as Guo Ruyu, Guo Jinfu, Guo Tianyou, and Guo Tianfu. It can be seen that the Guo family not only can get rich by doing business and trading, but also make a revolution and fight hard, sacrificing their lives for righteousness, and their heroic name will last forever.
