After the end of the War of Resistance Against Japan, old Chiang Kai-shek was not dead-hearted, and he launched a civil war regardless of the safety of the people. Yan Xishan himself
In 1883, Yan Xishan was born in Wutai, Shanxi. His family was a small landlord family, which was originally a very wealthy life, but because of the failure of an investment, his family was heavily indebted. Despite this, Yan Xishan also learned a lot of social experience in this investment failure.
In 1905, Yan Xishan joined the Chinese League led by Mr. Sun and began his political life. At the time of the Xinhai Revolution, this can be said to be the most glorious moment in Yan Xishan's life. After the outbreak of the Xinhai Revolution, a military government was established, and Yan Xishan became the governor of Shanxi, in charge of Shanxi.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Yan Xishan, on the premise of supporting the old Chiang Kai-shek, established a united front of resistance against Japan. In 1936, he fought against the Japanese puppet army and recovered the Lark Temple occupied by the Japanese army. After the Lugou Bridge Incident, Yan Xishan expressed his full support for the War of Resistance.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Yan Xishan also contributed to this. At the end of the Liberation War, Yan Xishan came to Nanjing from Taiyuan and went to Taiwan with Chiang Kai-shek, eventually dying elsewhere.

In 1949, that is, before the liberation of Taiyuan, Yan Xishan knew that Taiyuan could not stay, so he told his sister that he was going to Nanjing for a meeting, and would come back in a few days, so that she would wait for herself in Taiyuan and defend Taiyuan. In Yan Xishan's heart, although he was gone, he had not given up yet, and he still wanted to make a comeback. He had thought that after arriving in Nanjing, he went to Taiwan with Old Jiang and never returned.
Yan Huiqing, on the other hand, when the People's Liberation Army launched a general offensive against Taiyuan, knew that he could not hold back, so he drank poison and committed suicide. She told the soldiers that she had set fire to the place after her death. In this way, Yan Huiqing's life ended in Taiyuan.
