Invasion of the Soviet Union's "Barbarossa" plan
After the outbreak of World War II, German troops quickly swept through Central, Western, Northern and Balkans. In July 1940, as Germany prepared to wage war against the Soviet Union, Hitler asked the German General Staff to draw up a battle plan, the Barbarossa Plan.

How did the Germans achieve a surprise attack?

In the first half of 1941, Hitler invited Stalin to visit Germany in August, while the war was planned to begin in June. At the same time, Germany pretended to carry out the "Sea Lion Plan" to attack Britain with great fanfare, and explained the transfer of troops to the Soviet line as a disguise for Britain to see.
In fact, in the process, the United States, Britain, and China all learned through different channels that Germany would launch an offensive in June, and all informed the Soviet Union, but Stalin never believed it.
Just during the summer solstice, a traditional festival in the Soviet Union, Germany suddenly launched an offensive. At 3:15 a.m. on June 22, 1941, the Barbarossa program was officially launched, an offensive rare in history. Due to the lack of preparation of the Soviet Union and the haste to fight, the German offensive was like a broken bamboo.
