On December 31, 2021, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Development and Reform Commission, and the four ministries and commissions issued the Notice on Improving the Financial Subsidy Policy for the Promotion and Application of New Energy Vehicles (Caijian [2020] No. 86), which requires that in 2022, the subsidy standard for new energy vehicles will be reduced by 30% on the basis of 2021. For vehicles that meet the requirements in the field of urban buses, road passenger transport, taxis (including online car-hailing), sanitation, urban logistics and distribution, postal express delivery, civil aviation airports, and party and government organs, the subsidy standard will be reduced by 20% on the basis of 2021.
Subsidy scheme for new energy passenger vehicles (non-public sector):
The specific subsidy amount changes as follows:
- Subsidy of 9,100 yuan for pure electric models with a pure electric range between 300 and 400 km (13,000 yuan in 2021);
- Subsidy of 12,600 yuan for pure electric models with a pure electric mileage greater than or equal to 400 km (18,000 yuan in 2021);
- Subsidy of $4,800 for plug-in hybrid models ($6,800 in 2021).
That is to say, the pure electric mileage conditions of the new energy vehicle purchase subsidy standard in 2022 will remain unchanged, but the subsidy amount will decline by 30% on the basis of 2021.

In order to maintain the good development momentum of the new energy vehicle industry, comprehensively considering the development plan of the new energy vehicle industry, market sales trends and the smooth transition of enterprises, the 2022 new energy vehicle purchase subsidy policy was terminated on December 31, 2022, and vehicles licensed after December 31, 2022 will no longer be subsidized. At the same time, we will continue to increase the intensity of review and do a good job in the liquidation and finishing of the promotion vehicles in the previous year.
