In the Jinggongdelin Forest. There was such an elderly, high-ranking, and highly myopic Kuomintang prisoner of war, and this person was Wang Lingji, a general in the Kuomintang army, whose rank was higher than that of Du Yuming and other people we are more familiar with, and who was also the highest rank in the entire Beijing Gongdelin army.
This Wang Lingji was a veteran figure of the Sichuan Army, but back and forth, even Liu Xiang, the commander-in-chief of the Sichuan Army, had to call him a teacher, but this person not only had a lower status in the Sichuan Army than Liu Xiang in the end, but in fact, he could not compare with Yang Sen, which was inseparable from the Beiyang government that he tried to protect Yuan Shikai in his early years, and was beaten into the commander of the light pole.

However, Wang Lingji was still somewhat talented, and Wang Lingji, who later lost his own power, chose to defect to Liu Xiang, and with the help of Wang Lingji, Liu Xiang quickly dominated Sichuan and became the king of Sichuan.
The first problem that Wang Lingji helped Liu Xiang solve after he defected to Liu Xiang was the problem that Liu Xiang's troops were too complicated. At that time, liu xiang's troops had as many as 8 or 9 divisions, and in fact Liu Xiang did not have so many troops, all because the troops were not reorganized.
With the help of Wang Lingji, Liu Xiang's Sichuan army completed the reorganization.
In 1924, Yang Sen, who had split off from Liu Xiang's faction, killed Back to Sichuan with the support of Wu Peifu and wanted to compete with Liu Xiang for the ownership of Sichuan, but under the persuasion of Wang Lingji, not only did there not be a major conflict between Liu Xiang and Yang Sen, but Liu Xiang and Yang Sen together drove Yang Sen's ally Yuan Zuming out of Sichuan.
Wang Lingji during this time can be said to be a lifelong enemy of Janssen. In August 1928, Yang Sen, Li Jiayu and Luo Zezhou organized an eight-part alliance against Liu, which was broken up by Wang Lingji by means of division and disintegration, and then occupied Yang Sen's lair and helped Liu Xiang dominate Sichuan.
However, compared with Yang Sen's performance in the War of Resistance, Wang Lingji was really not commendable.
First of all, in this link of the Sichuan War of Resistance, the performance of the Wangling base was not as crisp and resolute as Yang Sen.
In 1938, he organized his troops in Sichuan into the 30th Group Army of the National Revolutionary Army, the commander-in-chief of others, but he did not leave Sichuan for a long time, and the rumors released outside were that he was too old, had no money, no guns, no soldiers, and did not look like a group army commander at all.
In desperation, the then chairman of Sichuan Province, Wang Miaoxu, was afraid that he would stay in Sichuan for a long time to influence his position, so he asked Wang Lingji for money to give money and people to people, as long as he could satisfy as much as possible, and sent away this great god.
As a result, Wang Lingji's troops were pulled to the battlefield of the Battle of Wuhan, but they were about to collapse, not only that, Wang Lingji also lied about his achievements, claiming headlessly that he had killed and broken the Japanese division commander Masaharu Honma, becoming one of the worst combat effective units in the Battle of Wuhan. After that, it was a mistake to delay the fighter.
However, he used his troops to threaten to return to Sichuan to protect the border and the people, forcing Chiang Kai-shek to compromise and provide him with as much equipment and manpower as possible, after which he only made a slight improvement on the battlefield.
After the end of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Platon Army did not advance to Sichuan until October 1949. However, in the face of the People's Liberation Army that then quickly approached Sichuan, Wang Lingji had no way, wanted to revolt, and was afraid of being settled by the autumn queen, wanted to flee the mainland, and he had said before that he had a responsibility to defend the land. Finally surrounded by the People's Liberation Army regiment, he chose to abscond in disguise, but did not succeed, and was arrested on February 6, 1950.
But if I had to say it, one of the most glorious things about Wang Lingji's life was that he had slapped Chiang Kai-shek. This still happened in 1913, when Yuan Shikai was not yet dead. At that time, Wang Lingji was the town guard of Chongqing, but Da Laoyuan ran to Shanghai to escape. He and Chiang Kai-shek fell in love with a woman. In the end, Wang Lingji won the hand of Chiang Kai-shek and did not succeed. Unwillingly, Chiang Kai-shek found Wang Lingji and was slapped twice by Wang Lingji.
This incident has also been publicized everywhere by Wang Lingji as his glorious achievement.
In Beijing Gongdelin, Wang Lingji is definitely the oldest, but he does not play more than others, like Du Yuming, Wang Yaowu is the first batch, Liao Yaoxiang is the second batch, he did not wait until 1964 to be pardoned. He died of illness three years after the amnesty, at the age of 84, which is quite a long life.
