When the May Fourth Movement broke out, he followed the marching procession to engage in the revolutionary movement, when he was only 12 years old, when he was still young, he stuck behind his brother every day as a 'heel worm', but at a young age, he had already planted the seeds of participating in the revolution in his heart.
When his brother ran away from home against his grandfather's wishes, his brother silently supported him behind his back, and before leaving the house, he also said to his brother that you should first complete your revolutionary ideals, and I would fight with you in the future.
He was admitted to the Hunan Third Division in 1922 and became a backbone member of the student union, and as a student representative, he personally went to the provincial capital to petition and fight against the evil forces. Later, he was sent to Hengyang, where the revolutionary atmosphere was not very strong before he came, but he rose to the occasion, actively propagating the revolution here, carrying out literacy campaigns and carrying out peasant liberation movements.
