On December 26, 40 days after the countdown to the opening of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the Third Ice and Snow Games of Hebei Province, with the theme of "Passionate Ice and Snow Meet in Hebei", opened at the Laiyuan National Ski Jumping Training and Research Base. The opening ceremony superimposed the ice stage area on the traditional stage to create a shocking immersive ice and snow live performance effect. The theme propaganda film shows the path of 30 million people in Hebei Province participating in ice and snow sports and achieving leapfrog development of ice and snow sports in the province from a full perspective; the opening ceremony cultural and sports exhibition "Passionate Ice and Snow Meets Hebei" panorama shows a magnificent picture of the popularization and development of ice and snow sports in Damei Hebei, creating a strong atmosphere of welcoming ice and snow events and helping the Beijing Winter Olympics. The first chapter of the cultural and sports exhibition, "Ice and Snow Together", conveys the passion of 30 million people in Hebei Province to actively participate in ice and snow sports with a real ice and snow story; the second chapter, "Welcoming the Winter Olympics Together", is composed of two parts: "Ice and Snow Love" and "Happy Youth", showing the spiritual outlook of ice and snow athletes with unlimited youth, passion and vitality; the third chapter, "Together to the Future", is full of the firm confidence of the people of Hebei to continue to forge ahead and create a new miracle of ice and snow development. Hosted by the People's Government of Hebei Province, organized by the Sports Bureau of Hebei Province and the People's Government of Baoding Municipality, the Third Ice and Snow Games of Hebei Province is the largest event, the highest technical level and the largest number of participants in Hebei Province before the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and an important measure for Hebei Province to achieve the goal of 30 million people participating in ice and snow sports with high quality. Hebei innovated the promotion mode of ice and snow sports, expanded the scale of participation, promoted the sinking of ice and snow sports at the grass-roots level, held community ice and snow games in the province, covering 4,052 communities; extensively carried out the "ice and snow caravan" tour experience activities in 100 cities and thousands of villages, deeply promoted ice and snow sports into the campus, held more than 38,000 ice and snow events in the province, and created more than 10,000 ice and snow sports experience areas in parks, shopping malls and enterprise stores. The Ice and Snow Games continue to improve the quality of the event, the competition part of the Games was held from September to December 2021, with a total of three competition groups of youth group, university group and social group, and the competition items set up 7 major events, 17 sub-events and 342 small events, which generally showed the characteristics of a large number of participants, high standards of competition venues, and strong professionalism of the referee team. More than 5,000 athletes from 11 districted cities and 68 universities in Dingzhou, Xinji, Xiong'an New District and the province participated in the competition, and the number of participants doubled compared with the first Ice and Snow Games, an increase of 68% over the second Ice and Snow Games, a record high. On the day of the opening ceremony, the Hebei Ice and Snow Sports Exhibition was carried out at the same time, the exhibition was divided into four major theme sections of media publicity and reporting, Winter Olympics competition preparation, mass ice and snow sports development, and ice and snow industry, which comprehensively and systematically showed the development path of ice and snow sports in Hebei, reviewing the successful bidding of the 2015 Beijing Winter Olympics, Hebei Province focused on "where to skate", "who to skate", "who to teach" and "who to guarantee", in the construction of ice and snow venues, winter project talent training, mass ice and snow promotion and popularization, Fruitful results have been achieved in the integration and development of sports.
