There is sand and gravel mixed in the rice, most likely because the rice is not cleaned, if this kind of thing happens in the people, no one in the people will take it seriously, but if it happens in the emperor's family, it is a big problem to "go on the line", and some people will be killed for this, and the relevant people will be scolded and punished.
However, in the face of this kind of thing, Song Renzong, instead of being angry with Long Yan, showed extraordinary generosity. Only to see him quietly check out the sand and stone and throw it away, and then whisper to the concubine next to him: "Concubine Ai must not leak this matter, otherwise the people in the imperial dining room will be investigated for capital crimes, and they will not bear to hear it" ("Forbidden to eat, there is sand and stone in the meal, including a secret concubine: "Do not speak to people." If you endure all the way to this point, are you not going to be thirsty? ”
After Song Renzong drank the water in a few sips, he calmed down his emotions a little, and then slowly said to the concubine: "The reason why Shuo repeatedly looked back was to let the attendants take the kettle, but they were blunt in nature and did not understand the meaning of Yuan, so they neglected to this point." But at that time, they could not order water, otherwise they would be punished for their sloppiness, and they would not bear to hear it. When the concubine heard this, she was very admired in her heart.
Among the emperors of the Song Dynasty, Song Renzong is the most famous
Third, Emperor Renzong was busy until late at night because of the complicated music, and suddenly felt tired and hungry, and wanted to eat a bowl of mutton hot soup, but in the end he had to endure and did not say it, and only the next day told the empress about it. After hearing this, the empress was puzzled, so she said to the emperor: "Your Majesty must take care of the dragon body every day, and since you want to drink mutton soup, you can command the imperial dining room at any time, how can you force hunger to cause the dragon body to suffer?" ”
The emperor waved his hand, and then explained to the empress: "The empress does not know that there are rules for use in the palace, and if you ask for it at will, I am afraid that it will form a routine in the future."
