At this time, Li Tianyou also discovered the changes of the Japanese army. Li Tianyou personally rushed to the Laoye Temple and commanded the officers and men of the three battalions of the 686 regiment to block the breakthrough of the Japanese army.
At the Laoye Temple Heights, Li Tianyou did not stop and sent the battalion commander Deng Keming to directly engage in a white-knife battle with the Japanese army. The battlefield was suddenly bloodied. As the battle progressed, more than 600 Japanese reinforcements began to attack the Laoye Temple. Li Tianyou personally came to the front line and demanded that the officers and men fight to the last bullet. Under the constant fighting, the Japanese army did not retreat.
