It was precisely because of his performance on the battlefield that his position in the army continued to rise, from ordinary Red Army soldiers to platoon commanders and deputy company commanders. At a meeting of the military headquarters, the chief specifically called out his name and said:
"This little devil head, less than 16 years old, is so fierce, then he will pay it back?" The warlords of Guangxi have no need to be confused! ”
In 1930, the Red Seventh Army began to move north, and Li Tianyou led his troops to follow Zhang Yunyi and others to various places. In July 1931, he successfully joined the Central Red Army in Jiangxi Province. During this months-long campaign, Li Tianyou made a name for himself, and everyone called him "the commander of the little tiger company." ”

Specializing in hard battles and vicious battles, this is Li Tianyou's combat style, and soon the whole army will know his "big name". After successfully meeting the division, Li Tianyou participated in the third anti-encirclement and suppression operation in the Central Soviet Region.
In February 1932, in the campaign against Ganzhou, Li Tianyou took the lead in the charge and took the lead in attacking the enemy's city tower. Also in this battle, Li Tianyou was shot three times in a row by the enemy and was seriously wounded. Thanks to his comrades-in-arms, he was sent out of the battlefield in time to avoid being killed in battle, and three months later Li Tianyou returned from his wounds and became the deputy commander of the Fifty-eighth Regiment of the Red Seventh Army.
In May 1933, Li Tianyou led his troops into the Fujian Campaign, in which he successfully annihilated a regiment of the Nationalist Army, setting a record for the Red Army to annihilate the regiment in a mobile war.
In January 1934, Li Tianyou, who had just turned 20 years old, was promoted to the commander of the Red Fifth Division and led the team to play a famous name in the "Battle of Gao Hu Brain".
In the face of the enemy's aircraft cannons, Li Tianyou commanded the troops to fight hard for three days and three nights, repelled as many as 9 high-intensity charges of the enemy, and successfully completed the orders issued by his superiors.
It is precisely because of Li Tianyou's performance on the battlefield that he became famous in the army at a young age, and no one dared to underestimate him.
Guangxi to the northeast

Taking Guangxi as the starting point, the middle moved to Jiangxi, Shaanxi and other places, and finally returned to Guangxi from the northeast.
With the surrender of the Japanese army in August 1945, the contradictions between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party became more acute. At this time, Li Tianyou received the appointment and went to the northeast to fight.
In the early battles of the northeast, General Li Tianyou led the team to fight many victories, but compared with the previous record, there was no place too brilliant. Lin Zong, who was then the commander of the Northeast Democratic United Army, ordered,
Li Tianyou was transferred to the commander of the first column and said: "Since it is the first column, we must play the appearance of the first column." ”
After Li Tianyou took over the first column, he paid close attention to the training of the troops and adapted his troops to the operation of the large corps. In the subsequent summer offensive, the troops under the command of Li Tianyou also tried their best and successfully defeated the first part of the 70th Army of the Nationalist Army and occupied Gongzhuling. If you want to talk about Li Tianyou's achievements in the northeast, then we have to mention the Battle of Siping.
At the first time in the capture of Siping, Li Tianyou's troops had successfully entered the city, but due to the approaching enemy reinforcements, they had to give up their advantage. In the defeat of this battle, Li Tianyou took the initiative to take responsibility, but he was not discouraged, but instead thought about all kinds of things.

Return to your hometown to suppress bandits
In the early days of the founding of New China, the bandit plague in Guangxi was very serious.
At that time, Guangxi, as the base camp of the Gui warlords, was carefully arranged by Bai Chongxi and others, and the number of bandits in the whole territory was large, which seriously affected the lives of the people.
From January 1950, the suppression of bandits in Guangxi was carried out in an all-round way, and General Li Tianyou also participated in this operation.
Regarding the suppression of bandits, General Li Tianyou said:
"The bandits who have committed the most heinous crimes must be resolutely executed, and the guns of the people must be completely confiscated."
The general's proposal was also unanimously approved by everyone at the work conference on suppressing bandits. After the start of the task of suppressing bandits, after more than 50 days of arduous struggle, our side successfully eliminated the bandits near the Dayao Mountains and reversed the situation of bandit suppression in Guangxi.
From the beginning of 1951 to the end of 1952, our side successfully eliminated more than 300,000 bandits and successfully solved the problem of bandits in Guangxi. During this period, the central government recognized Guangxi's work of suppressing bandits very much, and issued a power generation order to commend it. At that time, Zhang Yunyi found Li Tianyou with a telegram and said to him:
"This glory belongs not only to me, but also to you."
