Born in Hainan and originally from Wenchang, Hainan, Chen Hai was admitted to the Oil Painting Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1977 and has been teaching at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts since 1986.

This exhibition is the second stop of the "Silent Art Project", "Island". Through painting, video, installation, new media and other art forms, the exhibition carries out more diversified artistic expression, and shares with the audience his thoughts and perceptions of nature, art and life during his journey to the "Island". At the same time, through the combing of the artist's creative process, it also shows the emotional temperature given to the artist by hometown, nature and life. (Xi Jihong)
