One day in December of the fifty-seventh year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1718), the flag was displayed outside the Desheng Gate, and the gongs and drums were noisy.
On this day, the sixty-four-year-old Kangxi Emperor personally presided over this grand western expedition oath ceremony at the Taihe Hall to bid farewell to Yin Yu's western expedition to Dzungar, and the kings, belles, beizi, gong, and other ministers of the Qing imperial family who did not participate in the expedition all went to see off, and their rank was as high as the emperor's personal conquest.

Yin Yu was the fourteenth son of Kangxi, and he and Yin Chan, who later became the Yongzheng Emperor, were compatriots of the same mother.
But his personality is completely different from Yin Chan, his personality is straightforward and serious, so he is not in a shot with his brother Yin Chan, he has been good with The Eight Brothers Yin Chan since he was a child. Once, because someone told the Kangxi Emperor that Yin Yu was trying to murder the crown prince, Yin Yu saw this situation and stepped forward to ensure that the Eight Brothers would not have such a thing, and as a result, he was beaten up by the Kangxi Emperor.
After this violent beating, the Kangxi Emperor felt that these fourteen sons had feelings and righteousness for their brothers, and had a better understanding of his outspoken and consistent qualities, and from then on he was even more pampered, especially he had excellent military talents, so Kangxi often took him with him on tour.
During this Dzungar rebellion, the Kangxi Emperor appointed him as the fuyuan general Wang Xizheng Dzungar, making him the only one among the princes to fight alone and sit on one side, which increased his confidence in the success of the conquest.
Yin Yu and his party finally arrived in Xining after more than three months of long journeys.
After arriving in Xining, Yin Chan also specially invited a master named Zhang Kai to give a gua, and the master said: "Yuan Wu is in power, you are unspeakably noble, and there will be nine and five respects in the future." The master also said that wang ye can be blessed at the age of 39.
The master's words made the thirty-two-year-old Yin Yu full of heart and confidence.
However, the facts soon after proved that what the so-called "masters" in this world said was actually the most pitious lie.
After Yin Yu entered the northwest, he repeatedly asked for battle. He recommended the appointment of generals, supported logistics, gathered intelligence, calmed the hearts and minds of the army, motivated troops, mediated internal and external contradictions, and co-opted the Dalai Lama and qinghai ministries, and recaptured Lhasa the following summer.
Yin Yu's brilliant record in the Western Expedition made him a big red man in the Qing Dynasty for a time, and the Kangxi Emperor was even more fond of him. The Kangxi Emperor would not forget to give his son, who was far away in the northwest, a copy of the past, and instructed his son to say that if you want anything, just tell your father. In the sixty years of Kangxi, Yin Yu returned to Beijing to report for duty, and the Kangxi Emperor also ordered Yin Zhi the Prince of Cheng and Yin Chan the Prince of Yong to personally greet him. The kangxi emperor who was excited also wrote a poem "Last year," the triumphant song of Tibet was returned, and Dan Majesty was feasting and accompanying him in this dynasty," which was really envious of his fourth Argyong Prince Yin Chan.
After that, Yin Yu, who went to Xining again to serve, continued to do the work of pacifying Dzungar. Soon, however, he received grief-stricken news that his father, the Kangxi Emperor, had died and his fourth brother, Yin Chan, had succeeded him. Yin Yu's imperial dream was thus completely shattered.
As mentioned earlier, Yin Chan and Yin Chan brothers usually can't say a single one to shoot, Yin Chan has sat on the throne this time, according to Yin Chan's personality, Yin Chan must not have good fruit to eat. At first, their mother was still alive, and the Yongzheng Emperor did not dare to do anything to his brother, but the following year (May 23 of the first year of Yongzheng), after the death of their mother, Yongzheng took Yin Yu and opened the knife, not only stripped him of his title, but also imprisoned him.
Fortunately, YongZheng did not reign for a long time, or Yin Yu would have to sit on the bottom of the prison.
After he was imprisoned for more than ten years, the Qianlong Emperor came to power. He could not keep his own uncle in prison, so he released Yin Yu and was successively named the Duke of Feng'en Fuguo, The Prince of Dorobele, and the King of Doroku County, and died at the age of 67.
Yin Yu, the person who was "extremely intelligent, talented and virtuous, and my brothers were inferior" in people's minds, was indeed the closest person to the throne at that time, and if he did not go on expeditions, the history of the Qing Dynasty might have been rewritten. However, how can all this be clear?
