There is no need to cross thousands of mountains and rivers, Henan people can see sanxingdui "net red" cultural relics at their doorstep! On December 21st, the "Golden Phase Jade Style - Golden Jade Special Craft Treasure Exhibition along the Huangjiu Province" was launched at the Henan Museum, and precious cultural relics such as the golden-faced bronze head from the Sanxingdui Museum and the turquoise lattice bronze sword of the Shanxi Museum were sought after by the audience as soon as they were unveiled. The "brothers" from the Erlitou site are also "reunited" in this exhibition, with turquoise bronze plaques inlaid with turquoise face and bronze plaques from Sanxingdui.

The exhibition brings together nearly 300 pieces of gold and jade special craft cultural relics from 23 cultural institutions in Huangjiu Province, including Henan Museum, Qinghai Provincial Museum and Sichuan Museum, spanning thousands of years. This is also the first special exhibition jointly planned and held since the establishment of the "Yellow River Basin Museum Alliance" in 2019, which is divided into five parts: "Golden Jade Radiance", "Wrapped In Gold and Wrapped in Silver", "Gold Wrong Color", "Floating Light Leaping Gold" and "Drinking Gold And Jade", and the exhibition time lasts until February 20, 2022.

On December 22, the reporter walked into the exhibition hall, jade handle iron sword, inlaid red copper dragon pattern pot, gold-faced copper head, gilded copper smoker... Exquisite cultural relics come into view one by one, and the craftsmen of the Yellow River Basin use "gold" and "jade" as the carrier to continuously inherit innovative craftsmanship, leaving behind priceless treasures that are impressive.

"This exhibition is a collection of heavy cultural relics, and it is a 'big hand' for the successful cooperation of the Yellow River Basin Museum Alliance units, and more than 20 cultural and museum units have come up with the most representative cultural relics around the theme of the exhibition, such as the gold-faced bronze heads of Sanxingdui, which is a vivid practice of jointly promoting the protection, inheritance and promotion of the Yellow River culture along the Huangjiu Provincial and Regional Cultural and Expo Circles, and telling the story of the Yellow River." Ma Xiaolin, president of the Henan Museum, said. He hopes to show the wisdom of the sons and daughters of the Yellow River through this exhibition, so that the audience can taste the beauty of cultural relics and the beauty of ingenuity, and strengthen the self-confidence of Chinese culture.

At a glance, the more a thousand years. Exquisite artifacts make the audience linger. In the exhibition area of "Golden Jade Radiance", the turquoise bone carving cylinder excavated from the Dawenkou site in Tai'an, Shandong, the inlaid turquoise wrist ornament excavated from the Jin cemetery in Linfen, Shanxi, and the copper jade aid collected at the site of the New Zhengwangjinglou pavilion shine together, reproducing the combination of copper and jade represented by turquoise to the combination of gold and real jade and gemstones dominated by Hetian jade, and the aesthetics of the ancients have undergone a transformation from the beauty of sacred luxury to the beauty of luxury and magnificence.

Li Qin, curator of the exhibition and vice president of the Henan Museum, said that in the Chinese civilization system, "jade" is a symbol of sacredness and immortality, while bronze is the carrier of etiquette in the Central Plains Dynasty, symbolizing power and rank, since the Qin and Han Dynasties, gold with its rare and immortal symbols, gradually widely used in high-end utensils. The whole exhibition vividly reflects the two-way exchange of Eastern and Western cultures, the mutual reference of craft technology, and the gradual convergence of the concept of use, which contains the cultural connotation of beauty and coexistence, harmony and symbiosis.

In the exhibition hall, the "Gold-packed Western Deity Figure Lianzhu Silver Belt" from the Qinghai Provincial Museum is particularly eye-catching. This belt ornament is woven with silver wire, and the plaque is decorated with Western mythological figures and samurai motifs, which is quite similar to the gold belt shape and decoration produced by the Tira Chudi in Afghanistan, and its artistic conception should come from ancient Greece and Ancient Rome, and experts speculate that it was exchanged by trade through the Silk Road in Central Asia and West Asia. "Since the Wei and Jin Dynasties, large-scale cultural exchanges and ethnic integration, coupled with the influence of foreign gold and silver ware such as Byzantium, Persia, and Sogdia in the Tang Dynasty, have been integrated and innovated with their own characteristics, forming a peak period in the history of the development of ancient gold and silver ware." Li Qin said. (According to Henan Daily)
