Located in Pulan County, Ali Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region, Mapanyong Tso is known as the "Holy Lake". Located in the south of Kailash and north of Namunani Peak, the lake is 4,588 meters above sea level, covering an area of 412 square kilometers, and the deepest water of the lake can reach 74 meters, making it the highest freshwater lake in the world and a national nature reserve. Under the combined effect of sunlight, clouds and wind, the color of the Mapanyong is constantly changing with the light and shadow, sometimes resembling turquoise, sometimes resembling sapphire, which is breathtakingly beautiful.
