Recently, the 12th Overseas Chinese Cooking Skills Training Course in Zhejiang Province, jointly sponsored by the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Zhejiang Commercial Vocational and Technical College (hereinafter referred to as "Zhejiang Commercial Institute") and co-organized by the Zhejiang Catering Industry Association, was opened at the Zhejiang Commercial Institute. Nearly 100 Zhejiang overseas Chinese restaurant players from 23 countries and regions gathered on the banks of the Qiantang River to exchange Zhejiang cuisine skills.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhou Songyi, member of the party group, vice chairman and secretary general of the Zhejiang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.

Zhang Baozhong introduced the history and development status of Zhejiang Commercial College, as well as the achievements made by the school in long-term cooperation with the Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, in adding new energy to professional construction, promoting the internationalization of school education, and enhancing international influence. Shen Jian, former deputy secretary-general of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and president of the Zhejiang Catering Industry Association, said that the training course will focus on the impact of the epidemic on the catering industry and how to innovate and develop and improve culinary skills under the normalization of epidemic prevention and control.
He hoped that the majority of overseas Chinese food industry colleagues would take this training course as an opportunity to learn something and gain something, adhere to innovative development in business operations, improve cooking technology, innovate management models, boost Zhejiang cuisine brand catering enterprises to "go global", and play a greater and more active role in promoting Zhejiang cuisine and overseas Chinese food culture.

The five-day overseas Chinese cooking skills training will arrange Hangzhou gastronomic innovation and integration sharing, folk intangible cultural heritage dim sum production, "Culture and Travel" field study, classic tea dish making skills and sharing, healthy beverage enterprise inspection, Zhejiang cuisine culture and history inspection and Hangzhou cuisine tasting meeting, Chinese and Western fusion dish production skills, Zhejiang catering entrepreneur business exchange forum and other colorful learning content.
