Nantong's latest planning! It's about charging new energy vehicles!

Recently, the "Nantong "14th Five-Year" New Energy Vehicle Charging and Replacing Infrastructure Layout Plan (hereinafter referred to as the "Planning") led by the Municipal Transportation Bureau was officially introduced, and the first one in the province was adopted by the executive meeting of the municipal government, and the municipal government office issued and implemented (Tongzheng Banfa [2021] No. 60). The "Planning" proposes that by 2025, there will be about 15,000 public charging piles and about 29,900 special charging piles in the central urban area of Nantong.

In recent years, the ownership of new energy vehicles in Nantong has shown an accelerating growth trend, and the contradiction between the unbalanced layout and insufficient supply of new energy vehicle charging and replacing infrastructure has become prominent. This year, the municipal government will compile and issue the "Planning" into the private practical projects, the Municipal Transportation Bureau, as the city's energy-saving and new energy vehicle promotion and application leading group office, in accordance with the requirements of the municipal government, organized the completion of the "Planning" compilation.

The "Planning" issued this time comprehensively considers the charging and replacement needs of new energy vehicles in the near future and focuses on solving the layout of public charging and replacing facilities. The planning scope is the central urban area of Nantong (including Chongchuan District, Tongzhou District, Haimen District, Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone, Suxitong Science and Technology Industrial Park, Tongzhou Bay Demonstration Zone, Nantong International Textile Industrial Park, And Pingchao High-speed Rail Station Area). It is proposed that by 2025, an integrated public charging service network in the central urban area of Nantong will be basically formed to effectively meet the development needs of new energy vehicles. By 2035, the city's new energy vehicle intelligent charging network will be fully built, and Nantong will be built into a "leading city in the province and first-class in the country" charging and replacing infrastructure.

According to local conditions, zoning supply, combined with regional development positioning and traffic and travel characteristics, the "Planning" gradually builds a public charging facility service network with a service radius of no more than 1.5 kilometers and a minimum of 0.9 kilometers. Guided by the demand of new energy vehicle owners, the supply strategy of public charging and replacement facilities with centralized stations as the main and co-construction stations as the supplement is proposed. "Centralized station" is a centralized public charging (changing) power station, which integrates functions such as fast, slow and exchange; "co-construction station" is a co-built public charging station, which is mainly a charging and replacing facility jointly constructed with large-scale public service facilities, commercial facilities, hotels, hospitals and other commercial service facilities.

According to the plan, by 2025, the city will have a total of 17,900 public and private charging piles, of which 0.29 million are dedicated charging piles (public transportation, logistics, sanitation) and 15,000 are public charging piles. In addition, the city will develop a municipal intelligent charging integrated management platform to improve the management and service efficiency of the charging infrastructure industry in a platform-based manner, vigorously promote the "Internet + charging infrastructure", and improve the intelligent level of charging services.
