From December 13 to December 16, 24:00, Dongguan City has reported a total of 9 confirmed cases of new crown pneumonia, all of which are in Dalang Town.

According to Lai Shaoyu, deputy secretary general of the Dongguan Municipal Government, the new case (hereinafter referred to as confirmed case 9) on the 16th was negative for the new coronavirus nucleic acid on December 14, included in the centralized management as a close contact on December 15, and the nucleic acid test result on December 16 was positive and diagnosed as a confirmed case.

Luo Xiaoyong, deputy director of the Dongguan Municipal Health Bureau, said that according to the epidemiological investigation and comprehensive analysis of the results of virus gene sequencing, the epidemic in Dalang Town was associated with the epidemic in other provinces, and the viruses belonged to the Delta variant.
