At a press conference held on December 18, Luo Xiaoyong, deputy director of the Dongguan Municipal Health Bureau, introduced that in order to ensure the medical service needs of the people in Dalang, Dongguan has adopted a series of measures such as designating designated treatment hospitals, enriching the medical service strength of the control area, and providing medical services for special groups to meet the basic medical needs of the masses.
After the implementation of the control and suspension of Dalang Hospital on December 13, personnel could not enter or leave, and more than 700 people and patients were stranded in the hospital. In this regard, Dalang Hospital quickly launched an emergency plan, while doing a good job in epidemic prevention and control, set up temporary resettlement sites, distinguishing between different care methods of patients and non-patients, emergency procurement of mattresses, quilts, etc., to facilitate the masses to stay overnight and cold; provide milk powder for infants and young children, provide charging treasures for the masses, hot tea and hot meals; for special groups such as the elderly without escort, accompany registration, testing, payment, and medicine collection. Since December 14, some stranded people have gradually left the hospital in batches, affected by various reasons, as of the 17th, except for 1 patient who needs hospitalized hemodialysis treatment, all the stranded people have left the hospital.
On December 15, after comprehensive assessment by experts and the study of the medical treatment team of the Municipal New Crown Pneumonia Prevention and Control Command Office, it was determined that the new Dalang Hospital was a designated hospital for the treatment of non-new crown pneumonia patients in the closed and controlled area of Dalang Town. 2 hospital sense experts, 6 pediatricians, 3 internal medicine physicians, and 4 negative pressure ambulances have been dispatched successively, which has effectively guaranteed the medical needs of the masses in the closed and sealed area.
At the same time, the health department quickly designated Dongguan Chang'an Hospital as a designated hospital for non-COVID-19 patients. On December 13, the Sima Branch of Dongguan Chang'an Hospital was vacated, and 26 medical, nursing, hospital sense and other experts and 2 negative pressure ambulances were stationed to prepare for receiving patients. On December 17, the General Hospital of Dongguan Chang'an Hospital was vacated to open the green treatment channel and provide emergency medical services for critically ill patients such as trauma, hemodialysis, and pregnant women in the sealing and control area.
For chronic patients (hypertension, diabetes, etc.), a 24-hour dispensing service point is set up in the outpatient clinic of the Community Health Service Center in Dalang Town. In addition, a medical point is set up in Dajingtou Community and Country Garden Community in Dalang Town to provide door-to-door medical services. Luo Xiaoyong introduced that according to the actual situation, we will reasonably increase medical points, launch more convenient medical service measures, and steadily and orderly promote the normal medical services of medical institutions.
Based on the current epidemic prevention and control situation, patients admitted to hospitals for non-new crown pneumonia patients are treated on the spot, and they are not transferred unless necessary. Dongguan will mobilize the city's medical forces to effectively enhance the treatment capacity of non-COVID-19 patients and designated hospitals for the treatment of non-COVID-19 patients by means of expert support and remote consultation.
Luo Xiaoyong reminded that if Dalang's citizens and friends currently have medical needs, please contact the three-person group of the village (community) to deal with it, and if it is assessed that it really needs to be hospitalized, it can call 120, and the 120 command center will dispatch a closed-loop transfer to the designated hospital for treatment. In addition, under the condition of personal protection, the People of Dalang outside the sealing and control area can also go to Dalang Hospital for treatment on their own.
