At the meeting, Lai Shaoyu, deputy secretary general of the Dongguan Municipal Government, briefed on the latest situation of the epidemic situation, and at 0-24:00 on December 20, 6 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia (confirmed cases 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21) were detected in the close contacts of centralized management. From December 13 to December 20, at 24:00, Dongguan City reported a total of 21 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia.
Luo Xiaoyong, deputy director of the Dongguan Municipal Health Bureau, reported the trajectory of case activities, and Luo Xiaoyong reported that the 6 confirmed cases reported on December 21 have been active in Dalang Town since December 5. Confirmed cases 18, 19, 20 and 21 are all employees of a company on Meijing Middle Road in Dalang Town, and have a colleague relationship with the confirmed cases 12, 13, 14 and 15.
Confirmed case 16, female, 35 years old, currently residing in Caibian Village, Dalang Town. The main places involved are: Zhejiang Shengzhou Xiaolongbao Shop (Shengping North Road), Tiantian Fresh Fruit Shop, Yangkeng Tang Old Yang Street, Brother Chaoshan Food Shop, Lekang Health Center, Yangkeng Tang Square, Wanjihui Life Supermarket, Wang Dongmei Clinic, Yao Ji Fruit Shop, Jiarong Supermarket Parking Lot on Meijing Middle Road. After being placed in centralized management as a close contact, he tested positive for nucleic acid on 20 December.
Confirmed case 17, male, 45 years old, currently residing in Caibian Village, Dalang Town, the main places involved are: Caibian Shajing Street, Caibian Market next to Chef Jian Lean Meat Soup Rice Noodle Shop, Jiahe Boiled Meat Powder Breakfast Shop, Zhengtong Road Ganxiang Wooden Barrel Rice and the convenience store opposite. After being placed in centralized management as a close contact, he tested positive for nucleic acid on 20 December.
The confirmed case is 18, female, 54 years old, currently residing in Huangcaolang Community, Dalang Town, and the main places involved are: Dongguan Gaoyao Color Printing Co., Ltd. and its nearby breakfast shop, YangkengTang Square and its nearby Xiangguoyuan Fruit Shop, Dongguan Haiyue Sports Equipment Co., Ltd., Meijing Avenue RT-Mart Supermarket, bishui Tianyuan Sports Club. After being placed in centralized management as a close contact, he tested positive for nucleic acid on 20 December.
The confirmed case is 19, male, 54 years old, currently residing in Yangkengtang Village, Dalang Town, and the main places involved are: Dongguan Gaoyao Color Printing Co., Ltd., Xinjiang Department Store, Yousheng Hardware Factory, Yueli Life Supermarket, Jiaxin Grain and Oil Store. After being placed in centralized management as a close contact, he tested positive for nucleic acid on 20 December.
The confirmed case is 20, male, 59 years old, currently residing in Huangcaolang Community, Dalang Town, and the main places involved are: Dongguan Gaoyao Color Printing Co., Ltd., Huangcaolang Square, Yangkengtang Square, and near Yangkengtang Gymnasium. After being placed in centralized management as a close contact, he tested positive for nucleic acid on 20 December.
The confirmed case 21, male, 54 years old, currently lives in Huangcaolang Community, Dalang Town, and the main places involved are: Dongguan Gaoyao Color Printing Co., Ltd., Guiyuan Hardware Factory, Huangcaolang Market, Huangcaolang Basketball Hall, Bishui Tianyuan Sports Club, and Xinjiang Department Store. After being placed in centralized management as a close contact, he tested positive for nucleic acid on 20 December.
The trend of the epidemic is in line with the prediction and is generally controllable
Relatively speaking, the number of new confirmed cases announced on December 21 has increased compared with the previous days, and the public is quite concerned about the trend of the epidemic. At the press conference, the video link was made to Zhang Zewu, director of the Institute of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control of the Dongguan Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and made relevant interpretations on the current epidemic situation.
"These 6 cases were all detected in close contacts that have been centrally managed, which is more in line with our prediction." Zhang Zewu said that as of now, a total of 4125 close contacts have been identified in this epidemic, and these close contacts have been controlled, and it is still possible to detect cases among these contacts who have been included in management.
In addition, according to the results of gene sequencing, the epidemic in Dongguan is currently infected with the world's most important new crown virus epidemic strain Delta variant strain, which is highly homologous to the gene sequencing of cases in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, and is the same chain of transmission from the same overseas import source. The variant is characterized by high viral load, strong transmission capacity, fast transmission speed and strong transmission concealment.
Zhang Zewu said that the current epidemic situation in Dongguan shows a high viral load of patients; the main places of activity of patients, especially the residence of the virus pollution is obvious; the case has turned positive after several consecutive negative nucleic acid tests. Among them, more than 90% of the cases (i.e., 19 cases) had a ≤ 25 of the virus, which was relatively low, indicating a high viral load; more than 80% (i.e., 17 cases) were tested positive in the environmental specimens of the residence or isolation room of the cases, indicating that the patients had strong detoxification ability; nearly 40% of the cases were detected positive after 3 consecutive nucleic acid negatives, and 1 case was negative for nucleic acid for 6 consecutive times before being positive.
