Snowy compliments? | Lou Jianning: the "vanguard" of the race against life

Biography

Lou Jianning, male, member of the Communist Party of China, doctor of medicine, chief physician, born in 1975, the ninth batch of cadres in Shanghai to aid Tibet, deputy leader of the Shanghai group-style medical team for tibet assistance, executive director of the southern department of stomatology of Shanghai First People's Hospital, member of the party committee and vice president of Xigaze People's Hospital, and medical director of Xigaze National Trauma Treatment Center.

In Shigatse, Lou Jianning, with his professional expertise and leading the Tibetan doctors around him, founded the first sub-specialty of oral mucosal diseases in Tibet, which is of great significance for the early screening of patients suffering from oral marking diseases or potentially malignant diseases of the oral cavity.

After three years of aiding Tibet, he also wants to do more for Xigaze – by the end of this year, the "Tibet Autonomous Region Emergency Trauma Clinical Medical Research Center" led by the Xigaze People's Hospital will be approved for one year, which has significantly improved Xigaze's public health emergency response capabilities. As a member of the trauma team, Lou Jianning personally experienced the creation process of the center. From a stomatologist to the medical director of the Trauma Center of Xigaze People's Hospital, Lou Jianning's original intention remains unchanged: according to local needs, do everything in Shanghai, and do everything for the happy life of the people of Xigaze.

A multidisciplinary collaborative emergency trauma center

As a regional center, Xigaze City has a number of traffic trunk lines such as 318 National Highway and 219 National Highway, and in recent years, economic development and tourism prosperity have further increased traffic flow, and acute trauma is more frequent.

The Xigaze People's Hospital launched the establishment of an emergency trauma center at the end of 2019, and in early 2020, the center took the lead in declaring a clinical medical research center. Since its establishment, through the continuous enhancement of pre-hospital first aid, hospital first aid and various specialty treatment, the timeliness of treatment has been greatly improved, and the success rate of rescue has increased year by year.

Lou Jianning introduced that the emergency trauma center adopts a multidisciplinary collaborative trauma treatment model. In the emergency process, clinical disciplines such as emergency department, orthopedics, general surgery, thoracic surgery, urology, and intensive care unit are integrated, as well as platform disciplines such as imaging, blood transfusion, and ultrasound, and cross-disciplinary cooperation. In addition to the main department, other departments consult regularly to comprehensively hone the medical level of each department in actual combat.

Major surgeries or rare cases are no longer pain points

In the past, the local medical force was relatively weak, and when dealing with major surgeries or rare cases, they did not dare to do it and could not do it. Through Shanghai's medical aid to Tibet, the introduction of technology, and the transfer of training, many surgeries that were once difficult to perform locally can be done.

Lou Jianning introduced that the current high-level third-level and fourth-level surgeries have accounted for 45% of the total surgical volume in the hospital, which has been greatly improved than before. More difficult surgeries, such as minimally invasive surgeries that were rarely involved in the past, can now be performed.

Recently, a 17-year-old teenager in Saga County, Sonnadashi, had an accident at work, and his right hand was involved in a blender, almost completely twisted, and only 1 centimeter of skin was connected to several tendons. By the time he arrived at the hospital, he had been injured for nearly 2 hours, and his family was 100 kilometers away.

Lou Jianning's good partner, Dr. Ruan Hongjiang, a doctor who aided Tibet, resolutely instructed to seize the time to make preoperative preparations, and immediately notified the operating room to carry out emergency surgical replantation as soon as possible. In this surgical treatment, the trauma center of Xigaze People's Hospital played an important role. After the emergency department received the treatment, the green channel was quickly activated, and with the close cooperation of the emergency department, anesthesia department, orthopedic department and other departments, after more than 4 hours of fine operation under the microscope, Sonna Tashi's severed hand was successfully connected, and the first case of wrist reimplantation in Xigaze was a great success.

Improve the rescue process faster and more tacitly

As a member of the management team, Lou Jianning and her colleagues have established a new emergency procedure in practice. He cited a traffic accident as an example: an agricultural tricycle overturned and fell into a ravine, injuring multiple people. In the afternoon, from the ambulance arriving at the hospital, the emergency department and various specialists in the trauma center were all in place, and the treatment of all the injured people to complete the emergency treatment, examination and treatment took only 1 hour and 55 minutes, which was a great improvement over before. "For critically injured people in the accident, a numbered red badge should be clipped, and the doctors and nurses in charge of handling should also hang the same badge on the chest. This measure ensures that each doctor and nurse are dedicated to reaching out to red critically ill patients. After the injured person completes the examination, he will be admitted to the corresponding department according to the severity of each part of the injury and the priority of treatment. Lou Jianning said.

The emergency level of a hospital and the degree of cooperation between various departments are directly related to the level of comprehensive capacity of the hospital. Therefore, Lou Jianning is very proud to be able to participate in the establishment of the Emergency Trauma Center in the process of aiding Tibet.
