The ruins of Guge are located in Zada County, Ali Region, Tibet, and are believed to be the capital of the Guge Dynasty. The Guge Dynasty, which existed from the 9th to the 17th century AD, was a local separatist regime in Tibet, and its origins can be traced back to the descendants of the Tubo royal family.
The murals that remain in the temple are of high artistic value, and the style of these murals is influenced by many cultures, confirming the communication between Guge and the surrounding areas.
In 1961, the ruins of the Guge Kingdom were listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit, and the Guge Kingdom sites provided important physical materials for the study of Tibetan history, especially the ancient architectural history of the Tibetan people.
