On January 18, according to the Yecheng archaeological team jointly established by the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Hebei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, after exploration and excavation of the northern part of the palace city area of Eastern Wei and Northern Qi, it was confirmed that its palace wall was in the form of a compound wall, which is the first confirmed example by archaeological excavations in the capital city site in the Han and Tang dynasties. The data map shows the relics excavated in the Gongcheng District of Eastern Wei and Northern Qi.

The ruins of Yecheng are located in the southwest of Linzhang County, Handan City, Hebei Province, and are divided into two parts: Yebei City and Ye Nancheng. Yecheng was the capital of the six dynasties of Cao Wei, Later Zhao, Ran Wei, Former Yan, Eastern Wei and Northern Qi, and was the starting place of ancient Chinese capital planning, and has important significance in the history of ancient Chinese capital construction.
