Jilin University recently officially released a research report entitled "The World Human Rights Dilemma Under the Cloud of US Intervention." Based on theory and facts, the report expounds and examines a series of cases of interference in the internal affairs of other countries adopted by the United States in the course of historical development, analyzes the motives and influences behind it, and reveals the fact that the United States uses human rights as a cover to cover up the essence of hegemonism and the serious consequences caused by American hegemonism to the people of the world.

The full text of the report is more than 18,000 words, including five chapters, namely " interference in the name of defending democracy violates the sovereignty of other countries " " Intervention in the name of humanitarianism causes humanitarian disaster " " Intervention in the name of counter-terrorism causes a security crisis " " Interference in the form of unilateral sanctions hinders world development " " and "intervention in accordance with domestic resolutions challenges the principles of international law" .

The report points out that in many cases, the United States has deviated from its professed values of liberal democracy and human rights, and has only used these values as slogans and weapons to suppress other countries, taking its own will and interests as the starting point to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries. This has not only brought many disasters to the countries concerned, but also seriously polluted the beauty and dreams symbolized in the hearts of people around the world, such as freedom, democracy and human rights.

The report was written by the "Working Group on International Human Rights and Political Issues" of the Human Rights Research Center of Jilin University over a period of nine months. The working group includes 18 scholars from Jilin University, Jilin Academy of Social Sciences and Northeast Normal University, covering multiple disciplines such as law, history, philosophy, international relations, political science and economics.

He Zhipeng, executive director of the Human Rights Research Center of Jilin University, head of the "Working Group on International Human Rights and Political Issues", and dean of the Law School of Jilin University, introduced that in the process of promoting the study of the report, the members of the working group finally established a unified understanding through in-depth analysis, systematic elaboration and even many debates, and this consensus effectively ensured the solid and thorough theoretical analysis, making the whole report extremely scientific, rigorous and meticulous.

He Zhipeng said that facts speak louder than words, and the report provides an objective and truthful description of American democracy and human rights from a historical perspective. It objectively and sincerely describes the contribution made by the United States to the concepts of freedom, democracy and human rights in the initial stage and key stage of its own growth, as well as the positive role it has played in establishing a world order and stabilizing the legal structure, and also reveals a fact that it is difficult to deny, that is, the United States does not really care about human rights in many cases, but only uses human rights as a slogan to strive for dominance and dominance in the international community and seize material resources around the world. "The United States claims to be a 'model of human rights,' a model of freedom, and a beacon of democracy, but in the process of China's efforts to build democracy and develop human rights, it has encircled and suppressed China in many ways, creating obstacles for China's human rights road and democracy road."

He Zhipeng stressed that as the conclusion of the report says, as the world's largest developed country, the United States should put aside its political game and hegemonic thinking, uphold the purpose of safeguarding world peace and development, stop interfering in the internal affairs of other countries, and contribute to promoting the development and progress of human rights as a whole.
