He released 10,851 pigeons and returned 680 pigeons with a home rate of 6.27% and a race rate of 291.76 meters for the winners.
With the distances, the number of places, and the unusually rainy weather along the way, it is difficult to breed super long-range winning pigeons without a genetically excellent breeding pigeon if you want to win in such a difficult and fierce competition.
If many factors such as the age of the paired pairs, the traits at the time of breeding, and the conditioning of the pigeons before the race are ignored, the chances of success will be reduced. This article provides a brief explanation of the statistics of the top 30 winning pigeons in this competition to the majority of fanciers.

(1) The age relationship between the release of high-quality genetic genes and the pairing: from "Table 2", it can be explained that the points are:
(1) The optimal fertility age for carrier pigeons is 1-2 years old.

According to several well-known pigeon breeders in foreign publications, they also have a lot of similarities in the use of young breeding pigeons. For example, the Belgian grand contender Baustine would rather reduce the "substitution" of breeding pigeons and breed young birds with strictly selected cocks of 1-2 years of age with hens of 1-2 years of age.
Another well-known Belgian pigeon breeder, Willy Haas, who has 80 pairs of breeding pigeons a year, chooses 40 best hens who have just turned one year old and 20 best hens from 2 to 3 years old.

After hatching the shell and encountering the best climatic conditions in May, the temperature is often maintained at about 25 degrees Celsius, which is quite beneficial to the development of all parts of their body, especially the development of the brain, and the young birds bred at this time are beneficial to participate in ultra-long distance races in the future.
(3) The adjustment of the pigeon's function before the race is also an important part of winning.
Pigeons from the beginning of April to participate in the training and release to the beginning of June 1000 km race ended, the cumulative flight air reached about 2000 km, due to the frequent training, racing, to the pigeons physical, mentally brought greater fatigue, if the pigeons in the ultra-long distance race muscles can not show the original softness, psychological fatigue can not be restored, such a state of competition, not to say to achieve a good rank, is also quite difficult to return home, then how to let them recover quickly in the short term?
As shown in Table 2, the best method of incubating eggs before the race is that the pigeons are in the quietest state during the incubation of the eggs, allowing for adequate rest and at the same time enhancing the nesting desire of the pigeons.
If you look closely, you will find that after 7 days of incubation, the pigeons' muscles begin to become soft, and the gray-and-dark muscles that were originally stiff due to fatigue gradually become soft and the color of the muscles gradually turns blue-red.
Therefore, the method of incubating eggs before the race is beneficial to the regulation of the physical fitness and mental functions of the pigeons, which can be described as a magic recipe for self-cultivation. The above data analysis seems to be some empirical talk, perceptual understanding.
