Sony's world premiere double-layer transistor stacked CIS technology

The U.S. Stock Research Agency learned that according to the news of the Titanium Media App on December 16, Sony Semiconductor Solutions announced today that it has successfully developed the world's first double-layer transistor pixel stacked CIS technology. The new technology allows the photodiodes to be placed in different substrate layers. This makes it possible to independently optimize the photodiode and pixel transistor architectures, saturating the signal by approximately doubling the size of conventional image sensors, while also increasing the size of the amplified transistors and significantly reducing noise in dim scenes.
