Ms. Zhao Yiman was born on October 27, 1905. Ms. Zhao Yiman's father was a barefoot doctor who taught himself a lot of medical knowledge and treated people near his hometown. Ms. Zhao Yiman's mother took care of her nine children at home and took care of the housework. In 1913, Zhao Yiman stepped into the private school. She studied very hard and got very good grades, and the teachers praised her at that time.
In 1924, Zhao Yiman joined the Communist Youth League under the introduction of his brother-in-law. Two years later, Zhao Yiman was admitted to the Whampoa Military Academy. Because of her outstanding political activities at the Whampoa Military Academy, she was also promoted to a party member. Since then, as she had promised the Party, she had really done it, dedicating everything to the revolutionary cause, even to her life.
At that time, Japan went to war without declaring it, and the people of Chinese fell into a fiery life ever since. Also from 1931, Zhao Yiman was responsible for some underground work and led the factory workers to carry out anti-Japanese strike activities. Not only that, he also actively helped the anti-Japanese army activities and provided them with intelligence. In 1933, in order to cover up her identity, she even pretended to be husband and wife with Huang Weixin, the head of the guild, hoping to confuse the Japanese side in this way.
In 1935, Ms. Zhao Yiman served as the political commissar of the Second Regiment of the Third Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Army, and threw herself into the revolutionary cause with unprecedented enthusiasm. Ms. Zhao Yiman was able to mingle with the masses, who affectionately called her "Sister Li". Because this "Sister Li" repeatedly helped the anti-Japanese coalition army, she also attracted the attention of the Japanese side.
In November 1935, the Ming army moved a large force, and Zhao Yiman was seriously wounded in the war to cover the soldiers. Just as she was unconscious, the Japanese found her and arrested her. Then the Japanese army tortured Zhao Yiman, threatening and inducing. However, Zhao Yiman was soft and hard and refused to reveal half of the news about the anti-Japanese coalition army to them.
The Japanese soldiers were also very surprised, as if this woman in prison would never be in pain, never afraid, she just wouldn't give in. On August 2, 1936, the Japanese army threatened Zhao Yiman with a gun. But she was still unmoved. The only thing on his mind was her son. But even so, Zhao Yiman still suppressed the emotions in his heart and only left a note for his son. The note expresses a mother's regret for not taking good care of her son, but there is also the mother's righteousness in sacrificing her life for the cause of the revolution.
Zhao Yiman sacrificed, and thousands of benevolent men like Zhao Yiman were sacrificed. But their sacrifices were all meaningful, and it was precisely because of such fearless people and leaders that the War of Resistance Against Japan was successful. People have not forgotten them, they have not forgotten Zhao Yiman. In order to commemorate Zhao Yiman, Harbin City named the main interface where she had been active as Yiman Avenue, which is to hope that future generations will always remember Zhao Yiman's revolutionary deeds.
